Amaya Papaya Play Date

I have been meaning to post about our playdate for a few days but it always seems like another thing comes up that I need to post about.... It's been a busy July for us!

This week we met our Mom's Group at this awesome place called Amaya Papaya. It is a place for the kids to play and is set up into little stations. It is really cool. It is quite a distance from our house but I am always looking for new things & places to take the girls. I am so glad I made the drive because both girls had a blast! Payten of course did not want to leave but we were there for 2 hours and with the long drive we had to head back home.

We will definitely be going back there in the future!

As you can see in a few picture of above, Camryn is clapping. She just started this a few days ago and it is too cute! I am going to video it this weekend and will post next week. :-)

1) Did you have a favorite blanket or toy as a kid? If so, do you still have it? I had a favorite blanket, a mint green one. I don't, my mom made me give it to Santa one year.. I think I was about 7.

2) Do you dream in color? No

3) How tall are you? Do you wish you were shorter or taller? A short person never discloses that information.. haha just kidding... 4'11, and on good days 5 ft :-) I wish I was 2 or 3 inches taller. But actually I love being short :-)

4) If you could have anyone's (celeb or other) voice as a guide on your GPS, who would it be? Character "Dante" from General Hospital, I love his voice!!

5) Do you return the shopping cart to the corral or leave it wherever in the parking lot? Totally depends on where the corral is and who I have with me. If I am along I return it but if I am with the girls by myself and the corral is far I just leave it.

One of my close friends is the owner of Tammy's Funky Flowers. She is hosting a giveaway on her facebook page, check it out. The more friends you refer the more votes in for the giveaway! Her flowers are beautiful! My girls have a ton of them!

Weekend. . .

I can't believe I went the entire weekend and didn't take one picture... Actually I went an entire week without pictures! What am I thinking? That means there will be a lot of catching up to do this week so watch out for the million pictures.

Not too much to report about our weekend. Kind of low key which was nice. Friday evening we met friends for dinner and ice cream at Sonic, yummy!!! Saturday we spent the entire day at Blizzard Beach. The weather was just right. The girls enjoyed floating around the lazy river. Camryn enjoyed it so much that she feel asleep :-) Yesterday we spent the day pool side. One of my favorite ways to spend my day :-)

This is the first week in a while were we don't have anything planned... so I am thinking we will enjoy hanging out by the pool. Can't ever go wrong with some water fun.

Payten Elisabeth - 29 Months

29 months sounds kind of weird, doesn't it? She is one month away from 2 1/2. That is crazy!!! I haven't done one of these posts for Payten in a while so I figured she was due for one.

Lots of new and exciting things going on for Payten. We started potty training last week and she is doing extremely well, she has some accidents of course but is getting better with each day. She also is chatting up a storm. Up until a few months ago she only said a few words and now she talks in sentences and just chats away. In a few weeks she will be starting school three days a week. I think this will be the biggest change for her. She is a little social butterfly so I know she will love it. In addition to starting school, she will be starting dancing school one day a week as well. I am sure there will be lots more posts about Payten's new activities in a few weeks.

Help me decide!

We are starting to plan Camryn's 1st Birthday party! With only 2 1/2 months to go, I want to get the ball rolling. I hate doing things last minute and rushing.

We will be having her party at our house but we thought we would rent a bounce and/or slide for the older kids. But this where you guys come in.. Please help me decide. I have no idea which one I think will be the most fun. There ages range from 8 to 1. Just a bounce house, a slide, or a combo? If anyone has an input on these please feel free to share. Thank you so much!

Date Night

Yup that's right.... Jillian and I have a date tonight! No more excuses, I must get back into the routine of working out. So tonight is Day #1. I do plan to get back into running but that will have to wait another week or so... I am determined to shed these pounds!!!

More lounging and potty training. . .

To top off the weekend we spent it poolside yesterday too! We haven't had a whole weekend of just doing nothing in FOREVER! And now that we had one I think we need to do it more often. The hubby did get a few things accomplished outside but we spent hours and hours lounging in the pool and just hanging out.

Camryn just loves this little pool. She played in here for hours. It wore her out just enough to take a 3 hour nap! :-)

Potty training is going pretty well. A lot better then I had expected. Of course I will probably eat those words tomorrow. But only 2 accidents and it has been on our way to the bathroom. I mean check out all these "stickies", that is what Payten calls them. We did forget to add a few but Payten has been good at reminding mommy to add them. :-)

Lounging around. .

Not much to blog about today. We basically spent it poolside just hanging around... and boy was it nice! I love lazy weekends, especially since we don't get many of them!

Splash Water Table

I blogged a few months ago, saying how much I wanted to get this Arctic Splash Water Table for the girls. I know it would keep Payten amused for quite some time.... and guess what??

I was right!!! Of course the hubby thinks its dumb but Payten had a blast. It kept her entertained for a good hour! We had to pry her away from it.

Even Camryn used the little guys for a teething toy, haha. While Payten was splashing in the water table. Camryn was splashing in her own little pool. Another great investment, worth the whole $5 that it was :-)

I just love the summer afternoon's. Although its usually blazing hot but with all this water fun its easy to keep cool. Not to mention we had a really BIG pool to float in as well. :-)

Potty Training - Day #1

This is attempt #3 at this whole potty training ordeal. This time I am promising not to give up. Even it it leads to 15 pee accidents, I must keep going! She will be 2 1/2 in a few weeks and with school around the corner we must accomplish this. I know once we are through it we'll think it was a piece of cake but right now it's hard work!

We started our morning out at Target to pick up this cute Minnie Mouse, or in Payten's words Minnie House, panties. We aren't doing too bad.. One accident so far but the day is still young!

We have spent a lot of time on the potty.... I think I am going to install a TV in there so I can catch up on my shows, LOL. I am hoping this time around we will be successful. Stay tuned to Payten's progress....
