Weekday Randoms

It hasn't been much of a week of blogging over here.  It's been a so/so week but I guess I am getting in one of those blogging slumps...

Potty Training update with Camryn.  Well the first day at school she didn't pretty well, only one accident.  She came home went on the potty and not 5 minutes later she peed a puddle in the kitchen.  Ahhhhh.  I know she will have accidents but how can you have an accident when you just went on the potty!  Her second day she had two accidents :-(.  Third day three accidents, I hope this isn't a pattern!  I am praying today is a better day!  We'll see.

Poor Payten took a spill in the parking lot at school and has a boo-boo above her lip :-(.  I feel so bad but that girl is so clumsy!!  Sometimes she walks like she just started walking.  I am hoping it heals quick.  We have been applying vitamin E and antibiotic cream.  Thank goodness we don't have any pictures planned soon!

It's Sean birthday on Sunday, so we are having an adult night out with friends Saturday night.  I am sooo looking forward to it!

I have been gathering a few more birthday party ideas for Cam's 3rd birthday party. I can't believe its only like 2 months away, so crazy!!!  I think I have finally narrowed down the invitations and printable items.  Next is her birthday outfit!  So many to choose from on Etsy!

Happy Thursday!... almost Friday, thank goodness!

Potty Training - Cam's time!

Why do I feel like I just wrote a post about this for Payten?  It certainly feels like it but it was actually 2 years ago to the month!!!... Potty Training Day #1 And now its Camryn's time.  Ahhhh... potty training!  The thing I dread the most!  Isn't there a person I can hire to potty train Camryn?  I would pay just about any price for it right now!

Camryn really hasn't shown one interest to start potty training but since she will be 3 in a few months we have to at least try.  Her teachers say she does well and will go on the potty when they take her.  But at home she isn't so great about it.  I've decided that this weekend we are going to make the plunge!  Wish us luck!  We are soooo going to need it!  I have been changing Cam into panties when she gets home from school to get her use to it and shes done, ok.  We'll see how the weekend goes!  I am sure I will have a LONG post Monday all about it, LOL.

Here is Cam in her owl panties... I am sure when shes older she'll kill me for posting this, but I couldn't resist, haha!

Happy Friday!!!

Potty Training

After over 8 months of potty training we finally make the night time switch from pull-ups to undies. It was totally my fault but she would still wake up wet some mornings so that worried me. But finally the other night I said that's it, I need to get over my fear and just let her do it. And guess what..... she is doing awesome! It's been five nights and one accident, so not too bad. I know she will have an accident here and there but I am glad we, well actually just I, decided to make the big switch! All and all I have to say potty training wasn't too too bad but I am so not ready to do it again so it looks like Camryn will have to wait a bit longer.... but it sure is creeping up fast, she'll be 18 months in two weeks, yikes!

Quiet Week. . .

It's actually been kind of quiet around here the past few days. Other then drop offs and pick ups to school, we've been laying low. Camryn newest adventure is crawling the staircase. Yup the ENTIRE staircase! And she is quite fast! Since that is her new fascination, our house is decked out with baby gates everywhere. I keep forgetting we have them up and I keep tripping over them or walking right into them, oops! This is going to take a little getting use to.

Payten is doing great at school. Today we are going to experiment with her wearing undies for the first time to school instead of pull ups. So we packed a few extra pairs of clothes just in case. She has been doing great potty training but I want her to be completely potty trained soon since she already gets the gist of it.

My evenings have been consisting of working out at the gym and finishing up birthday party projects. It feels so good to be checking things off the list. The tissue paper wreaths are complete. Tonight I will be working on finishing the tissue paper flowers. The project list is actually coming to an end, Hallelujah!

Last week I signed back up for the gym. With my new schedule there is no reason why I can't go in the evenings. I joined after I had Payten and I was in awesome shape and now its 11 months after Camryn and I am so out of shape! Since there will be no baby Hogan #3 here (not that we have planned), its time to get my butt in gear and get back to the old Tiffany. And I think its actually working, a week into it and I have already lost 2 lbs, woot woot!

Hope everyone is having a great week and don't forget to enter The Life of Rylie.. and Bryce too awesome giveaways!

Updates & Changes, lots of them!

This is going to be one of those posts that is a bunch of hodge podge (is that even a word?). It's been a while since I have posted updates and there are a lot of changes coming up in the next week, BIG CHANGES but good ones!

Let's start with Payten's potty training adventure. It's almost been 5 weeks (still can't believe that), and she's been doing extremely well! I am actually pretty surprised. The first few days were a disaster! One second she would go on the potty and the next she would pee a puddle in the middle of my family room (luckily its hardwood floors, or else we'd be in trouble). After week 1 I just wanted to give up. But everyone kept telling me to stick it out a bit longer and see how she does. She now tells us when she has to go potty, instead of us asking her a million and one times, don't get me wrong we still ask but nearly as much since she communicates with us about it. With each day she gets better and better. I hate to jinx it but its been days without one single accident! She even poops on the potty! Woot woot! There are a few times here and there that she just doesn't quite make it to the potty but she's trying. She wears undies all day long, but when we venture out and for naptime and bedtime she wears a pull-up. I think she is about ready to do the undies thing when we go out but I am so afraid! I know I have to overcome this fear but I think it'll be a few more weeks before I do so. I am extremely proud of her potty training process and hope that the end is in our near future!!! But to be honest, thinking about doing this all over again with Camryn makes me want to hire a personal potty training assistant, LOL.

I know I mentioned it in my last post but Camryn finally has her first TOOTH, actually she has two! My girls always seem to be late bloomers when getting their teeth in. Camryn is exactly one week behind when Payten got her first tooth. I am still trying to get a picture of them, but the little stinker won't let me get a good look. :-( She is also finally sleeping through the night, well at least for most nights. Camryn has definitely not been as good as a sleeper as Payten but she's getting there. Hopedully she continues with these 12+ hour nights, it makes the hubby and I super happy :-) Camryn is eating lots of table food these days. Her favorite is chicken and cranberry sauce! She just can't get enough of it, its too funny. I hope she continues eating table food so well, I would love to ditch the baby food!

Okay for the changes.... Monday is Payten's first day of school! I am full of so many emotions about this. I am happy, excited, sad, all in one. I know at first it will be an adjustment for her but I know she will love it. I am sad that she is growing up so fast! Where did my little baby go? How can she be 2 1/2 already? It feels like I just brought her home from the hospital. I know she will love learning new things and making lots of friends, especially since she is miss social butterfly. I will be sobbing for the first week at least :-( Since Payten will be in school for several hours a day, I have decided to go back to working days. The night schedule has really gotten to me and most of all its affecting our family. My wonderful friend Tammy will be watching Camryn for us a few hours a day so that I can go back to working days. I owe her FOREVER! (wink wink) As a family we are really looking forward to our new schedule next week. Wish us lots of luck because we sure are going to need it!

Along with Payten starting school she will begin her first dance class next Saturday as well. It is a combination class of both tap and ballet. Since little miss thing loves to shake her booty every opportunity she can, I really think she is going to love it. I will be sure to post pictures of how it goes :-)

I think that's it for now... This post is a lot longer then I had intended. Stay tuned next week to lots of posts about our progress of our new schedule!

More lounging and potty training. . .

To top off the weekend we spent it poolside yesterday too! We haven't had a whole weekend of just doing nothing in FOREVER! And now that we had one I think we need to do it more often. The hubby did get a few things accomplished outside but we spent hours and hours lounging in the pool and just hanging out.

Camryn just loves this little pool. She played in here for hours. It wore her out just enough to take a 3 hour nap! :-)

Potty training is going pretty well. A lot better then I had expected. Of course I will probably eat those words tomorrow. But only 2 accidents and it has been on our way to the bathroom. I mean check out all these "stickies", that is what Payten calls them. We did forget to add a few but Payten has been good at reminding mommy to add them. :-)

Potty Training - Day #1

This is attempt #3 at this whole potty training ordeal. This time I am promising not to give up. Even it it leads to 15 pee accidents, I must keep going! She will be 2 1/2 in a few weeks and with school around the corner we must accomplish this. I know once we are through it we'll think it was a piece of cake but right now it's hard work!

We started our morning out at Target to pick up this cute Minnie Mouse, or in Payten's words Minnie House, panties. We aren't doing too bad.. One accident so far but the day is still young!

We have spent a lot of time on the potty.... I think I am going to install a TV in there so I can catch up on my shows, LOL. I am hoping this time around we will be successful. Stay tuned to Payten's progress....
