Weekend Review - Munire Furniture/Newport Collection

Welcome to the Weekend Review with The Life of Rylie...and Bryce too!, The Florida Hogans, and Angelica's Awesome Adventures! We would love for you to link up your reviews at the bottom and let everyone know about your favorite products! Reviews with giveaways are awesome too!

This weekend I am reviewing both Payten and Camryn's furniture. I loved Payten's so much that I bought the same exact (well almost, except for color and style crib) for Camryn.

They both have Munire Furniture - Newport Collection. Payten's was purchased from NJ and shipped all the way here, well actually driven all the way here by family, but Camryn's is from a store in Gainsville.
I absolutely loved Payten's furniture so it was a must have for Camryn. It is actually quality furniture instead of some of the junk they sell in the baby stores in town. Yes its a little more pricey but totally worth it. One of the things I love most about it is that the furniture grows with the child. Payten's convertible crib is a Lifetime 4 in 1. A crib, toddler bed, day bed, then full size bed. We actually only used 3 parts of it but it is great! Now Payten is sleeping in her full size bed and is loving it!
Camryn's crib is a tad bit different. She has the SafeSide. Her's is a 3 in 1. Crib, toddler bed, then day bed. We thought since they both have the same furniture they could have a slightly different crib.
There furniture is 100% identical besides Payten has the Espresso finish and Camryn has the Antique White finish. I love both colors and fits their rooms perfectly. I highly recommend Munire furniture. I love how they have lots of choices for pieces of furniture. They offer a night stand, mirror, 5 drawer chest, armoire, double dresser, combo, and even a book shelf. Both girls each have a crib, 5 drawer chest, combo w/ mirror, and a nightstand.
This is Payten's crib converted to a toddler bed. We didn't buy the "toddler" rails from the company since we knew she wouldn't use it like this for long so we used a regular bed rail and it worked great.
Now the final product.... Converted to a full size bed aka "BIG GIRL BED"

Even though the girls have the same furniture, you can see from these pictures how different it really looks from one another.

Five Question Friday

1. Is there something you've always wanted to try but just can't muster up the courage to actually do yet? Sky diving!! I always wanted to do it but I am way too chicken. The whole fear of heights thing does it for me.

2. If you had $100 handed to you in cash without your significant other knowing about it, what would you spend it on? Clothes! I love to shop! And that would be clothes for myself since the girls already always get so much :-)

3. What was your favorite piece of playground equipment as a child? The Swings. I could swing for hours, heck I still could :-)

4. Do you prefer a sweet or hearty breakfast? Sweet, I am sweets person for sure... pancakes smothered in strawberries and strawberry syrup, Mmmmm

5. Are you a Neat Freak or a Messy Bessy? Neat Freak for sure. Well at least I try to be. Although with two kids it is certainly hard these days to keep up!

Splash Pad!

Today we met our play group at a Splash Pad in Orlando. What fun this is! Payten loves the little splash pad at Blizzard Beach so I knew she would just love this. Next time I need to remember to bring her buckets so she doesn't steal the other kids. Haha. This is a definite must do again soon especially since it is so HOT out!

BBQ Fun

BBQ's are just one of my favorites of the summer months. Is there anything better then cooking out and hanging in the pool all day with great friends? :-) Payten and Rylie had a blast playing. Thank you LeeAnn, Brian, Rylie, Bryce, & Dana and Doug for coming to hang out for the day. Many more of days like these in the next couple of months!

The girl's splish splashing!

Bryce's 1st time in the pool!

Eating some yummy food at the "Princess" table!

Aren't they too cute?

They were too cute for words!

My Adorable Girls!

Get ready because I am going to brag about how adorable my girls are. They are the cutest little things I have ever seen :-) We met Amy at Downtown Winter Garden for a HOT, but FUN photo session. Who knew it would still be 95 degrees at 5:30 in the evening. Geesh! She captured amazing photos of the girls. Thank you so much Amy for all your hard work!

Weekend Review - Peg Perego Aria Twin Stroller

When I found out when I was pregnant with our second child, picking a double stroller was one of the first things that came to mind in the long list of items we needed to buy. This is one item that actually scared me about buying. I know sounds silly right? But they are usually VERY expensive not to mention SUPER heavy. With me being a whole 5 foot tall picking the right double stroller was really important.

After lots and lots of research we chose to go with the Peg Perego Aria Twin 60/40. I know the first thing you are thinking $$$, but actually it was pretty reasonably priced. We did however buy it online. We purchased it from Bestbuybaby.com and got an AWESOME deal, free shipping too!

One of my biggest concerns was the "weight" of the stroller. Most double strollers are really heavy! The Peg Perego Aria is only 17 pounds!!! It did concern me at first since it was so light.. Is it sturdy enough? It is super sturdy and handles great! I even love it more then my single stroller!

I was a bit afraid when I first started using the stroller for the one fact that it is a "side by side". How on earth would I get through doorways or through stores? But actually it fits through EVERY door way. And well most stores are easy to get around, except Gymboree, and of course is my favorite store to shop, but its still manageable.

The way it folds up is just another great feature! It takes up barely any room in my truck which is great when traveling with two kids and you have everything from your house packed in your vehicle :-)

Five Question Friday

1. Do you have an iPhone and, if so, how do you get apps and what are your favorites? No iPhone for me. I have a Blackberry Curve.

2. What is your fondest memory of K-3rd grade? Hmmm... it had to be how much I loved my first grade teacher Mrs. White. I was so distraught when she had to go on maternity leave because she was the coolest teacher ever :-)

3. What makes you cringe at the thought of touching? A snake!!! They are soo gross and creep me out!

4. If you could have any celebrity show up on your doorstep who would it be and why? McSteamy from Greys, ya know Mark Sloan aka Eric Dane! Because he's a HOTTIE!!!!

5. What would you say is your best physical feature? Really you have to ask me now? Just 7 months after having a baby.... although I guess I have to say my "boobs". LOL. My friends know why :-)

Head over and link up with Mama M. to join in on the 5QF fun!

Weekend Review

When I was pregnant with Payten, I was totally clueless on what products were the "best" ones. I only had one friend that really had children so anything she told me I listened too, of course some things didn't work for Payten so I had to do the whole trial and error thing. Not always a fun process and a mighty expensive one too!

We all have our favorite products. So why not share about them? I have been asked a serevak times to look over my friends’ registries and tell them what I think. I really enjoy helping people pick out great products for their new baby! Now that I have a toddler, I also want to know what the best toddler necessities and toys are. There are so many to choose from, and it is so much easier to pick something out when you know that someone else has tried it and loves it.

I was talking with my good friends LeeAnn and Andrea about product reviews, and we came up with what we think will be a fun way to tell you about our favorite products and learn about yours. It is called the Weekend Review. Every Friday we will blog about a product we love, and we would love for you to join in and do the same! I’ll post a Linky so everyone can link up and share their favorite products over the weekend. You can post about baby essentials, toys, things that make life easier, etc. You can even post about your favorite blender if it is really that awesome and you want everyone to know about it. All we ask is that you absolutely LOVE the product. Hopefully we can all help each other out and discover some great new products.

Check back tomorrow for the first installment of the Weekend Review. There will even be a giveaway by one of the hosts to kick things off the right way!

So much for a Wordless Wednesday :-/. We headed to Mark's Blueberries Farm in Clermont for some Blueberry picking with the play group. Of course it was blazing hot but totally worth it since Payten had a blast! Definitely a must do again!

Blog Party!!!

This is my first blog party! I am joining D-Listed Blog Party and I am so excited.

Welcome to my blog! I started this blog about a year and a half ago to keep our out of state family and friends in the loop about what goes on with the "Florida" Hogan's. Our blog name was created because my hubby comes from a BIG family and since we're the only ones that lived in Florida I figured it best suited us :-)

My name is Tiffany. I am 27 years old (just turned), married to Sean (the oldest of SIX boys), we were married on February 25th, 2006. We have two furbabies (doggies) Corgy & Roxy. We welcomed our first daugher into the world on February 24th, 2008 (yes one day before our anniversary) Payten Elisabeth. Our second daughter was born on October 7th, 2009, Camryn Brooke.

We live about an hour north of Orlando in a two story house that we built in 2005. The bedrooms started our empty and now they are full and it seems that we are growing out of house. Who would have thought? Especially since we have a four bedroom home.

I am a WAHM. Everyone thinks this is the best of both worlds and don't get me wrong I love spending time with my girls but of course every mom needs some time to herself :-) So that is where my blogging comes in. It's "ME" time to just type away and post about fun things happening in our lives.

Hope you enjoyed visiting my blog! Stop back soon!

Moving on Up!

Moving on up in the "blog" world! We have an our own button! Woo hoo! Thank you Lindsay from Happy House Wife Designs for creating this for us! Check it out on the right hand side! Make sure you add it your blog :-)

Birthday Celebration Part IV: Cake

I know, I promise this is the last part of the weekend. It was a fun filled one so I had to make sure I posted all about it. :-) Sean made me this yummy cake! And not too bad decorating it too! He had to put all 27 candles on their to show me just how old I am getting.. sigh. Both girls enjoyed the cake, YES both! Camryn thought it would be a good idea to attack my cake. It was quite hysterical. Thank you everyone for making my birthday weekend a special one! Now its back to work tomorrow, booooo!

Birthday Celebration Part III: Typhoon Lagoon

Today is my actual birthday. I am the BIG 2-7! Yikes the years just keep flying by. Can I start counting backwards yet? It's been a weekend of celebrating :-) Well it's just a good excuse to hit up all the water parks in town. With this weather water parks are a must! We'd love to do Disney but with it being in the 90's already, no thank you. Today we headed to Typhoon Lagoon with Dana, Doug, and my sister Tracy. We had a blast in the wave pool, well the adults did, the girls weren't too sure of it. We enjoyed floating around the lazy river (Sean & Doug's favorite). And of course had some yummy Mickey ice cream ears :-)
