Show Us Where You Live Friday - Children's Rooms

It's another edition to Kelly's Korner to Show Us Where You Live Friday! This week we are showing off our nurseries and/or children's rooms. Below are pictures to my baby girl Payten Elisabeth's room. One of my favortite rooms of the house! This is the amazing accent wall that my hubby painted. After many long hours it was totally worth it. I absoutely love it. Her bedding collection is Tickled Pink by Glenna Jean. This is exact opposite wall from the crib. Her furniture collection is Newport by Munire, and color is Espresso. The nightstand is located on the left of the crib. My girlfriend painted her name letters. She did an amazing job matching the bedding.
And at last but not at least, our newest addition to Payten's room. It's her Watch Me Grow collage. It is so amazing to see how much shes changed during her first year. Our photographer Lisa Lotter did amazing job.

Thank you for coming on over to visit this week's edition to Show Us Where You Live! Have a great weekend!

19 Weeks and Many More To Go!

She is a MANGO this week according to thebump.com :-)

Vernix caseosa, a greasy white substance made of lanugo, oil and dead skin cells (yum) now coats baby's skin, shielding it from the amniotic fluid. (Picture yourself after a nine-month bath, and the need for protection makes sense.) You might actually get to see the vernix at birth, especially if baby is premature.

Update: Payten had her 15 month check up today. She weighs 20 lbs 3 oz (14% percentile), and is 30 1/2 inches long (60% percentile). She didn't too well with her shots at first but a few licks of a lollipop and she was all better. :-)

Memorial Day Weekend

Did I ever tell you how much I love 3 day weekends? Why don't we have these every weekend? I feel like I can get so much more accomplished and still have time to do fun things!

Saturday morning we headed down to my parents for the weekend, Payten hasn't seen her grandparents since Easter so it was a much needed visit. Since the weather was a bit iffy we did some shopping, got a new swing for Payten's swing set (pictures to come soon), and few little odds and ends things. We had a yummy BBQ that evening and topped off dessert with some ice cream and watermelon. Yummy!

Sunday we headed to the beach. I was shocked how empty it was but it was great to just pull up and get a parking spot. It was brutally HOT! There was a breeze but it was a HOT breeze. We lasted about 3 hours and then we headed back to my parents for another yummy dinner. Crab legs, shrimp, claims and steak! Ahhh I was in heaven! After we were all full we headed home.

Today we spent the day doing usually household things. Trying to finish up some house projects but as you know it never ends. Our next project is the spare bathroom.

Payten turned 15 months this weekend. I still can't believe it! Where has the time gone? She is quite the talker these days, well its more in her own language but she goes on and on. It's soo cute. She is finally eating a lot more table food. Her menu now consists of waffles, pancakes, pop tarts, chicken nuggets, turkey dogs, cheese, lunch meat, watermelon, apples, and few others. Now that she is eating so much more table food it makes our meals easier. :-) Tomorrow we have her 15 month check up with Dr. Yarckin. Stay tuned to her stats. Only a few more months until she is a big sister :-)

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Have a wonderful week!

Rain rain go away!!!

And don't come back another day! After four days of raining all day long, its safe to say I don't want to see rain for a very long time. I know we really needed it but after four days, I think its quite enough. It's getting depressing sitting around the house but who wants to go out and get soaking wet. Not me! I am hoping this depressing weather clears up for the nice long weekend. I am praying it does! Until then it looks like another night of sitting on the coauch and catching up on shows. :-)

Baby Braelyn has arrived... 05.20.09, she weighed 8lbs 14 oz, 21 inches long. Mom & baby are doing well! Pictures to come soon!!

18 weeks and counting

Baby Girl Hogan is really starting to grow! This week she is the size of a Sweet Potato. :-)

According to thebump.com.... Your fetus has become amazingly mobile (at least compared to you), passing the hours yawning, hiccuping, rolling, twisting, kicking, punching, sucking and swallowing. And, baby's finally big enough that you'll be able to feel those movements soon.
It's amazing she is only the size of sweet potato because I feel as big as a house. :-) We are looking foward to our Level 2 ultrasound in a few weeks, so stay tuned to some new pictures of Baby Girl Hogan.

Happy Monday everyone! And don't forget to watch the Bacherolette tonight! GO JILLIAN!

Birthday Weekend

My birthday weekend started off with some shopping at the Prime Outlets in Orlando. We got some awesome deals at Gymboree and Carters. Payten is one styling little girl. While we were there we got some dinner at the food court. I was craving pizza so of course I had to have some. It was soo good, of course not like back at home but it'll do :-)

On Saturday morning, Sean, Payten, & I headed over to Blizzard Beach. We purchased annual passes for this year. We figured it would be a fun thing to do throughout the summer. They have an awesome kiddie area. As you can see from the pictures Payten had a blast. She wasn't too sure at first about being able to walk through the water but it didn't take her to long to start splashing all around.
She had a few spills into the water. Which the first one was a bit traumatic but after that she just got right back up. She is our little water bug!
One of her favorites was going down all the fun slides with her Daddy. There was little ones and big ones and of course the big ones are always more fun. Hopefully next time she'll go down with her Mommy. :-)
As you can tell after 3 1/2 hours she was completely exhausted. She even almost fell asleep in lazy river with Sean. She was just too cute! We are hoping to make it make back Memorial Day weekend. :-)

After our fun afternoon at the water park, I headed over to the nail salon and Sean treated me to a manicure and pedicure. It turned into a 3 hour affair but it was soo nice to just relax and have my feet rubbed... hehe. Auntie Tracy came over to watch Payten while Mommy & Daddy enjoyed a yummy seafood dinner at Red Lobster. I finally had my snow crab legs that I have been craving. They were sooo good!! I am hoping we can get back there soon!

Today, Sunday was a normal Sunday for us.... Yard work, grocery shopping, cleaning, and an afternoon nap of course. :-) Spent the day preparing for another week of work... Oh joy. Sean & I are both looking forward to the three day weekend next week.

Thank you everyone for my birthday wishes and making my day special!!

Hope everyone has a great week! Try to stay dry but with all this rain I'm sure its impossible.

PS - Baby Braelyn has not arrived just yet but hoping she makes her appearance soon. I will be sure to update when she arrives. My prediction is May 18th.. yup tomorrow, so we shall see. :-)

Gymboree gets me again!

This time its the outlet, not even the regular store that got me. They were having an awesome sale so of course I couldn't pass it up. However I did very well and controlled myself from going too crazy. Plus it helped that Sean was with me. Although sometimes he makes it worse by pointing out more cute things! Below are a few of the outfits we got!We got the shirt and shorts but not the shoes. The shoes aren't my style. This outfit is way cuter in person! I will sure to take a picture of Payten in it :-)

Enough goofing off on the computer for me. I need to go pack for our day at Blizzard Beach tomorrow! Have a great weekend!!

Another long week...

It's been another long week! The beginning was super busy and now the past day or so has been dragging. It probably doesn't help that I haven't felt the greatest. I am looking forward to the weekend. Although I would like to skip over my birthday on Saturday and just stay 25 for at least another year, I don't think that can happen... I still can't believe I am going to be 26!!! I am always considered the young one amongst most of my friends but let me tell you I am starting to feel really old! I know age is just a number, but still 26!!!!!!!!!!! Yikes! We have lots of plans for the weekend ahead and will be sure to share them with you on Sunday evening. :-) Tuesday I had an OB appointment and everything is going well so far. Right now we have a tentative date of October 22nd for Baby Hogan's arrival but we are hoping to get that bumped up a few days. We'll have to work on talking to the doctor about that. Other then that I am just getting rounder and rounder by the day, still pretty tired but hoping my energy comes back soon because we have lots of house projects to work on. Our BIG level 2 ultrasound is scheduled for June 8th. So stay tuned to more Baby Hogan news.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Mother's Day Weekend

What a great weekend! Although it was very busy, it was lots of fun!!!

Friday night we headed over to Home Depot to pick out the flowers and details for the backyard. My swing set project somehow turned into re-doing our entire backyard, hmmm? Not sure how that happened but it is turning out really well.

On Saturday while Sean worked on the backyard, Payten and I met up with some friends at Monkey Joe's for some fun in the bounce houses. Although Payten wasn't too sure about them she sure did have fun running all around. Since we worked up an appetite we headed over to FudRuckers for some lunch. Of course Payten's favorite was the sugar cookie for dessert. :-) Payten sure does love her sweets! Saturday night we met Dana & Doug at Uno's Chicago Grill for dinner and made our way over to Downtown Disney. It still can't believe it was still 92 degrees at 8pm but good thing it was because Sean thought it would be fun to have Payten run through the water spouts! The little prissy that she is refused to get wet. But her Daddy helped her to get a bit wet. Of course I had to get a caramel apple with nuts, my ultimate fav, and Sean and Payten shared a yummy vanilla ice cream cone!

Sunday morning I woke up to the BIGGEST mother's day card EVER! And I mean BIG! After hanging out in bed the three of us headed to breakfast. I had the most delicious strawberry pancakes! Then Payten and I laid poolside while Sean worked on the backyard some more. While Payten enjoyed a 2 hour nap, I sat by the pool enjoying a new book.

My Mother's Day cards, and Payten even signed it herself :-)

It was a great weekend and so sad it is over already! I am really wishing we could get our work weeks switched to 4 days and have 3 day weekends, what do you think?

I hope everyone had a great weekend and a wonderful Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to the two best Mom's!!

For all the times you gently picked me up,
When I fell down,
For all the times you tied my shoes
And tucked me into bed,
Or needed something
But put me first instead.
For everything we shared,
The dreams, the laughter,
And the tears,
I love you with a "Special Love"
That deepens every year.

Show Us Where You Live Friday - Living Rooms

One of my favorite bloggers, Kelly's Korner, is hosting a "Show Us Where You Live". Every Friday she will pick a different room of the house to share with everyone. What a great way to get decorating ideas! Since I missed last week's edition. I have enclosed my "Kitchen" pictures at the end of this post. Hope you
enjoy!

This is where most of our relaxing happens. We love to spend rainy Sundays laying on our cozy couch! Too bad we don't get too many of them living in Florida. :-(

My favorite item in this room, is by far the picture wall I created. I absolutely love looking at those pictures everyday. And with time it will be added to. As you can tell I am huge picture freak! No throw pillows for us (although I do love them), with a toddler they seem to be on the floor more then on the couch. Maybe someday we can go back to accessorizing our house. :-) Hope you enjoyed our Living Room!

Show Us Where you Live Friday - Kitchen

Here is our kitchen. By far my favorite room of the house! It was remodeled about 2 years ago and I absolutely love it!!!! Although it took months to complete and my house was a complete disaster, it was well worth the wait!

As you can tell I like the least amount of things on my counter. I am not a fan of clutter! So I try to keep it pretty simple. However during the holiday months they are filled with lots of decorations!! Hope you enjoyed taking a tour of our Living Room & Kitchen. See you next week for another edition of "Show Us Where You Live Friday"!!

Hallelujah it's almost Friday!

Finally the weekend is almost here! This has been a long week! And waking up today thinking it was Saturday morning didn't help either. :-( We are looking forward to being out and about this weekend since the past two weekends were spent home nursing Payten back to health. So we are really going to overdo ourselves. It's going to be full with lots of fun things! I will be sure to blog on Sunday and let you know all about them.

In the meantime I will leave you with some pictures of my smiley little girl! :-)

A moment at last. .

I have been trying to write this email for days but every time I sit down something comes up. Story of my life. :-)

Last week was quite a crazy week. Payten had went to the doctor a week and half ago and was diagnosed with an ear infection in both ears so they put her on penicillin. Well about 6 days later she breaks out in this horrible rash. I took her to the doctor on Friday and comes to find out she is allergic. So no more penicillin for her. However she was pretty miserable all weekend. She was trying to itch but of course has no idea how to do that, so she would drag her back along the couch. I just felt horrible. Thankfully by Monday she was feeling a thousand times better. But now we are conquering the good old teeth battle. She has about 5 coming in at the same time. I am hoping all this pain goes away soon so she can be her happy self.

Before Payten had her reaction we did manage to squeeze in a visit with Kim & Ally. We had a yummy lunch at Ruby Tuesday's, and Wednesday we had her 1 year photo session (yes I know a little late) but it was re-takes. And they came out amazing. The link is below of the proofs. The rest of the week and weekend we pretty much stay quarantined to the house.
On Saturday, even despite our red dotted daughter, we went to have our "gender" ultrasound. Of course in the beginning the baby wasn't cooperating so we were kind of bummed but after a few coughs we got the baby to its legs.... and it's a GIRL! Yup that makes two baby girls for us! We are so happy Payten is going to have a little sister. We look forward to meeting Baby Girl Hogan #2 in October!

I hope every one's week is going well! Happy Wednesday! And if I don't get a chance to blog before Sunday, Happy Mother's Day!!

Little Miss Park Princess

I have lots to update you on but in the meantime, here are a few pictures from Payten's session with Lisa Lotter last week. See link below. I can't believe how big she is getting. :-)

Our Little Trooper!

We had quite a scare this morning when Payten woke up. She was completely covered in little red dots from head to toe. I took her into the pediatrician and come to find out that she’s allergic to Amoxicillin. It took almost 7 days for the reaction to come out which totally blows my mind. But here are a few pictures of our little trooper. Even though she is completely covered she still is her smiley self!!! She just woke up from a nap, so she’s a sweaty mess!

**If you click on the actual picture it enlarges and you can see the red dots up close. :-(

Happy Birthday Patrick!!!

Happy Birthday to the best older brother in the world!!! We miss you more and more with each day. Keeping looking out for us like you always do!!! We love you!!
