Friday night we headed over to Home Depot to pick out the flowers and details for the backyard. My swing set project somehow turned into re-doing our entire backyard, hmmm? Not sure how that happened but it is turning out really well.
On Saturday while Sean worked on the backyard, Payten and I met up with some friends at Monkey Joe's for some fun in the bounce houses. Although Payten wasn't too sure about them she sure did have fun running all around. Since we worked up an appetite we headed over to FudRuckers for some lunch. Of course Payten's favorite was the sugar cookie for dessert. :-) Payten sure does love her sweets! Saturday night we met Dana & Doug at Uno's Chicago Grill for dinner and made our way over to Downtown Disney. It still can't believe it was still 92 degrees at 8pm but good thing it was because Sean thought it would be fun to have Payten run through the water spouts! The little prissy that she is refused to get wet. But her Daddy helped her to get a bit wet. Of course I had to get a caramel apple with nuts, my ultimate fav, and Sean and Payten shared a yummy vanilla ice cream cone!
Sunday morning I woke up to the BIGGEST mother's day card EVER! And I mean BIG! After hanging out in bed the three of us headed to breakfast. I had the most delicious strawberry pancakes! Then Payten and I laid poolside while Sean worked on the backyard some more. While Payten enjoyed a 2 hour nap, I sat by the pool enjoying a new book.
My Mother's Day cards, and Payten even signed it herself :-)
It was a great weekend and so sad it is over already! I am really wishing we could get our work weeks switched to 4 days and have 3 day weekends, what do you think?
I hope everyone had a great weekend and a wonderful Mother's Day!
