Memorial Day Weekend

Did I ever tell you how much I love 3 day weekends? Why don't we have these every weekend? I feel like I can get so much more accomplished and still have time to do fun things!

Saturday morning we headed down to my parents for the weekend, Payten hasn't seen her grandparents since Easter so it was a much needed visit. Since the weather was a bit iffy we did some shopping, got a new swing for Payten's swing set (pictures to come soon), and few little odds and ends things. We had a yummy BBQ that evening and topped off dessert with some ice cream and watermelon. Yummy!

Sunday we headed to the beach. I was shocked how empty it was but it was great to just pull up and get a parking spot. It was brutally HOT! There was a breeze but it was a HOT breeze. We lasted about 3 hours and then we headed back to my parents for another yummy dinner. Crab legs, shrimp, claims and steak! Ahhh I was in heaven! After we were all full we headed home.

Today we spent the day doing usually household things. Trying to finish up some house projects but as you know it never ends. Our next project is the spare bathroom.

Payten turned 15 months this weekend. I still can't believe it! Where has the time gone? She is quite the talker these days, well its more in her own language but she goes on and on. It's soo cute. She is finally eating a lot more table food. Her menu now consists of waffles, pancakes, pop tarts, chicken nuggets, turkey dogs, cheese, lunch meat, watermelon, apples, and few others. Now that she is eating so much more table food it makes our meals easier. :-) Tomorrow we have her 15 month check up with Dr. Yarckin. Stay tuned to her stats. Only a few more months until she is a big sister :-)

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Have a wonderful week!
