Keeping it simple

This year we are keeping Payten's birthday party simple.  This is going to be our off year for big parties.  The weekend of her birthday we are going to have a pajama party with her closet friends.  And then on Sunday she is going to go to Bippity Boutique with Camryn.  She is super excited as she loves to get all dolled up :)  

I still can't believe my first born is turning SIX!  How the heck did that happen?  It feels like I just became a mom and now I am six years into it, craziness!  I am one lucky mom that I have two beautiful girls that I love with all my heart!

Cam's party details are really coming along!  We are down to less then a week to go!  :-)

Camryn's 4th Birthday Invitation

With only two weeks away. . . the final preparations for Cam's party is underway.  I just realized I never posted a picture of invite!  I just love it!  I am hoping to finish up most of the party to do list this weekend, we'll see how it goes!

Accomplished

I am quite happy with how things are coming along for Camryn's birthday party.  I made a to do list by the week that way I don't feel so overwhelmed.  I've had a lot of free time lately in the evenings, which has been great.  But I know starting next week when the activities start and then not long before that school will be starting so my friend time will be limited, so I am trying to take advantage of my free time now.  

I finished up the fabric garland last night.  I started working on the ribbon wreath.  My goal is to finish that this week along with ordering the invitations and Camryn's birthday outfit.  We've narrowed down the invitations so all that is left is just hitting submit :-).  I love feeling accomplished like this!  Now if only I could finally finish decorating my office!  

For the cake I am thinking a design between these two!

Uneventful

Our weekend was just that, uneventful.  It rained pretty much all weekend and when it wasn't raining it was overcast. Totally ruined our plans for a few outside activities :-(.

Since I was stuck indoors why not organize a few closets.... I made it through several drawers in the kitchen, that literally everyone kept just putting stuff in.  Drives me nuts!  I even managed to tackle the girls never ending totes of clothes!  It took two days but its complete, woo hoo!

We ventured out Saturday night, even though it was down pouring but Payten begged us to go out to dinner. I was all about ordering in but she insisted on going somewhere.  So off to Red Robin we went, her pick too! Love that place!  It's sooo good!

I figured since we were stuck in the house I would make the best of my time. I worked on a few projects for Camryn's birthday party. Everything is turning out great so far, but my list is still a mile long. But I can't wait to see how everything turns out when its all put together!

We have been breaking out the games lately, the girls newest fav is Monopoly Jr.  Its really fun and easy for them to follow along.

She can't be turning 4?!

There is no way its almost time for Cam's birthday already!  This past year has just flown by, its soo crazy! After several years of party planning, I've decided to do something a little different.  This years theme for Camryn's birthday party is Carnival fun!  I have a few fun ideas up my sleeve, but lets see if I go through with them!  So far this is what I have put together for some ideas :-)  I have a ton more but here just a few!

Projects. . .

I've been spending my nights getting ready for the Egg hunt this weekend... and its almost all done!  I can't wait to see how it all comes together!!

Egg Hunt

Our annual Egg hunt is this weekend.  I had been gathering ideas from pinterest to make this years a little more special.  It looks like we are going to have a pretty big turn out!  I can't wait til Saturday!  Its always a blast!

Easter Egg Hunt

We are having our annual Easter Egg Hunt in a few weeks.  This will be our 3rd year of doing it!  Everyone had so much fun the past years that I wanted to keep it going!  Not too many details have been planned out yet.  But the invites have been ordered.  It's more of an Evite but still had to get a cute invite :-)

What my day consisted of...

Finishing up some birthday decorations, stuffing goodie bags, and making sure everything is all together for next weekend!  Balloons have been ordered, cake will be ready to be picked up on Friday, birthday outfit is all laid out... now we can't wait until next Saturday!!!  Payten is super excited!  I still can't believe she is turning 5!!!  Total craziness!

Birthday Invitations

Payten's Birthday invitations are all mailed out!  She insisted on a bowling party this year.  So the theme is "bowling"!  She is super excited!  I can't wait to see all the kiddies bowl.  Should be super cute!

Final details!

Almost done with the final details for my sisters baby shower this weekend!   Can't wait to see how it all comes together!  Get ready for major picture load on Monday :-)  

2 weeks and a few days

We are almost down to the 2 week mark until Camryn's 3rd Birthday party!  This is why I always start my planning early because not I am only 2 weeks out and I have still a ton to do!  I always say I am not going to go over board but epic fail AGAIN :-(  I can't wait to see the final outcome!  In the meantime I am surrounded by ribbon and polka dots :-)

And this is why I always start early!  Because as usual I had goals and I have failed to complete them, sigh!  At least I am making "some" progress :-)

Party planning mode!

When I get in party planning mode its all over!  I become obsessed!  It's all I think about.  Even laying in bed I have all of these ideas going through my head.  I have a serious problem, I know!  :-)  I guess I enjoy it so much because it lets me be creative and not think about "reality" and since lately things have been so crazy I like to just focus on something other then the serious things in life.

TGIF!  It's been a pretty quiet week around here.  Not that I am complaining.  I am hoping the weather holds out tomorrow so we can head to the beach!  I have been wanting to go for weeks but it just hasn't happened.  Other then that no other plans for our weekend.  Happy Friday!!

Birthday Planning continued...

Two months to day until Camryn's 3rd Birthday party!  I still can't believe it!  THREE... I mean how can she be turning 3?!  Wasn't it yesterday when I was freaking out on how I would juggle two kiddies under the age of 2?!  Its crazy how fast time flies when you have kids!

This picture collage pretty much sums up the ideas I have for Camryn's brithday party!  I promised myself I wouldn't go over the top.  But ya know how that goes!  I am amazed at myself that I have already ordered her invitations and started working on her birthday banner!  I am hoping to have everything finished at least two weeks prior that way I can actually enjoy everything but we'll see.  My plan for this week is to finish up her birthday banner.  So we'll see!  I also want to get started making her initial and frame it, like the one in the picture above :-)

Our weekend was pretty low key.  I still wasn't feeling 100% so we hung home.  Caught up on some house work and just vegged.  Felt great!  My parents came for a visit yesterday.  It was a nice day just hanging out!

She can't be turning 3?!

There is no possible way that its time to plan Camryn's THIRD birthday, I mean how can that be, she just turned 2, didn't she?!  This past year has just flown by!!!

I decided since this will most likely be the last year I can use a birthday party theme for Camryn.  I have decided to go with the Monkey theme.  

I love all of the bright colors!  It's so fun!  We are going to have Cam's party at the park this year.  The weather is still nice in October so I figured we would take advantage of it.  I just hope the rain stays away!!

So far these are the two invites that I like.  Although I leaning more towards the first style!  I like the bright colors!  And I have three different option colors!  I am thinking of removing the photo part of it since I use Cam's photos on her thank you's.  I love want to over kill the whole photo thing!  Of course both of these invitations I found on Etsy!

Some personalized shirts and outfit ideas.  Of course thank you to the wonderful world of Etsy!! For a tutu this year I am thinking of doing a petti skirt since we have done the regular tutu thing the past two years.  Both of these skirts are adorable!!!
