Update from the doctors!

I had my weekly OB appointment today, and things are progressing along. I am 1 cm dilated which we all know doesn't mean too much since you can be dilated for weeks. However my blood pressure is a bit high, and with my swelling Dr. Kareem is concerned. She had me do a panel of blood work to test me for preeclampsia. If the blood work comes out positive it looks like Camryn will be making her debut this weekend. Yikes! Of course we can't wait to meet her but now I am getting nervous. There is still so much to do and feel so unprepared. Since I have the afternoon off tomorrow, my goal is to get lots done. I am hoping this cooler weather stays around at least for a few days so it makes it easier for me to get out and about and get things accomplished. My results should be in at the latest on Friday. I will be sure to post an update if things change. Since many of you don't know what preeclampsia is. Here is a little information on it from the

What is preeclampsia?

Preeclampsia is a complex disorder that affects 3 to 8 percent of pregnant women. A woman is diagnosed with preeclampsia if she has high blood pressure and protein in her urine after 20 weeks of pregnancy.

(It's possible to have preeclampsia before 20 weeks, but only in rare cases, such as with a molar pregnancy.)

Preeclampsia most commonly shows up after 37 weeks, but it can develop at any time during the second half of pregnancy, including during labor or even after delivery — usually within the first 48 hours.

Preeclampsia can range from mild to severe, and it can progress slowly or rapidly. The only way to get better is to deliver the baby.

New recipes - Pizza Skillet Hot Dish

This week I have been trying out new dishes to make for dinner. I have been getting bored with some of the ones I have been making so I decided to whip out my cook books and start experimenting. It must be the nesting in me. :-)

Sunday Night we tried one from Pillsbury (where most of mine come from), it's called "Pizza Skillet Hot Dish". It is so yummy! And Payten even loved it!
Hope you enjoy!

Pizza Skillet Hot Dish

1/2lb. lean ground beef
2oz. (1/2 cup) sliced pepperoni, chopped
1(14-oz.) jar spaghetti sauce (2 cups)
3/4cup water
7oz. (2 cups) uncooked ready-cut spaghetti
1/4cup sliced ripe olives
1/2green bell pepper, cut into bite-sized strips
4oz. (1 cup) shredded mozzarella cheese
1.Brown ground beef in large skillet over medium-high heat until thoroughly cooked. Add pepperoni; cook 1 minute. Drain.
2.Stir in spaghetti sauce, water and uncooked spaghetti. Bring to a boil; stir. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover and cook 10 to 15 minutes or until spaghetti is of desired doneness, stirring occasionally.
3.Add olives; stir gently to mix. Arrange pepper strips over top. Sprinkle with cheese. Remove from heat. Cover; let stand 3 to 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Gymbuck Redemption already?

Is it that time already??? And of course I have way too much to spend in Gymbucks but it does kind of work out since Payten has barely any clothes for the winter. Of course I am looking at lots of matching outfits for the girls. :-) Here are a few of my choices so far..... Why does everything in this store have to be so darn cute?

37 Weeks

Not too much to report this week. Just the usual uncomfortableness and swelling. But only two weeks or less to go so I am just trucking along. Trying to enjoy the last few weeks of being pregnant but of course with this heat its almost impossible. :-(

We have been preparing around the house for Camryn's arrival and making sure everything is in place for Payten while Sean & I will be at the hospital for a few days. Payten can't wait to meet her baby sister!

I have a doctors appointment on Wednesday so if everything changes I'll be sure to post an update. Happy Monday! :-)

Start of the weekend!

We headed over to Picture People this morning to claim our FREE trilogy collage frame, yes that's right FREE! A $99 value for free. The pictures weren't my absolute favorites but I truly was just going for the free frame. Unfortunately I can't show you a picture of it because they were all out of black ones so it had to be ordered. I should have it in a few days! :-)

After our pretty quick Picture People visit, we met Dana & Doug at Cheesecake Factory for an early lunch. And it sure was yummy! It was great catching up with them since its been a while. We are glad Dana is back so we can lots more time with her. :-) They bought Camryn an adorable outfit! It's too cute! Thank you Dana & Doug!

This evening we are just laying low and hanging out... Tomorrow is FOOTBALL SUNDAY! I love Sundays in the fall :-)

September 25, 2009

Presents, presents, and more presents!

Camryn is already being spoiled by all of our family and friends. Cousin Brianna & Frankie sent a package full of goodies for Camryn. Thank you for being so generous! We can't wait to use all the new accessories!

Payten Elisabeth ~ 19 Months

I still can not believe Payten is 19 months today! It feels like yesterday we were dressing her in the hospital getting ready to bring her home. Now she is this crazy little toddler, well maybe not crazy compared to other kids, so we'll say busy toddler, a little babbler that has her own language which her Dad calls Paytenese (haha), and of course she loves to fight with us to eat her three meals a day(I will sure be glad when this stage is over). Her favorite words are Dada and Uh oh! I look forward to her expanding her vocabulary soon :-)

Happy 19 months baby girl! Here are a few pictures of Payten this time last year and a few from now. It's amazing how much they change in such a short amount of time!

Happy Birthday Aunt Gaby!!

Happy Birthday Aunt Gaby!

We hope you have a wonderful day. Miss you lots!!!

Yup we have two kind of fans in our house. Of course Sean is a Packer fan and Payten seems to be joining his bandwagon. So looks Camryn will be a GIANTS with her mommy :-) Look at these adorable outfits cousin Nicole & Scott purchased for the girls! Payten wore her's on Sunday. Sooo cute!

September 22, 2009

Letter's are finished!!!

I received an email this morning saying Camryn's letters have been completed. I love love love them! :-) Now I need to decide on ribbon and flower color and they will be shipped this week. YAY! I also received a phone call this morning that the new mirror for Camryn's room is in! WOO HOO! Now maybe we'll be able to finish the nursery this weekend! :-)

Let's give it a try...

Payten wanted to test out her "BIG" sister shirt since it won't be long until she's the "BIG" sis :-) She is just too cute! And her expressions are the best! I hope Camryn has as good as a personality as Payten. :-) Happy Tuesday!

36 Weeks

The weeks were flying by, but now they have seemed to slow down quite a bit. It's probably because I am very uncomfortable not to mention all the contractions I have been having :-( Camryn we are ready for you anytime now, so if you would like to make your appearance before October 14th we would be thrilled :-)

According to BabyZone this week...

All About Baby

Your once wiggly baby now favors certain body positions. Typically, your baby will enjoy resting with his head down and his rump toward your ribs—the ideal placement for delivery. Your baby's movements will become less frequent as he has less wiggle room. From now Baby's growth will be slow and steady as he continues to put on weight and fill out.

How Big Is Baby?

Your little one weighs in at six pounds this week and his length hovers around 13.2 inches (crown to rump).

Our family filled weekend!

It started on Friday afternoon when Auntie Tracy and Sean came up for a visit. Auntie Tracy of course brought goodies for Payten and Camryn. She definitely spoils her nieces. We had a yummy chicken dinner, courtesy of Publix, hehe. Auntie Tracy gave Payten a bath and boy was there a big puddle of water on the floor. I am thinking they had a little too much fun splashing :-)

Can I get some privacy???

Seriously Mom :-)
Saturday afternoon Mema and Aunt Jane came up for a day visit. They helped get Camryn's room together for her arrival (since time is running out quickly, ekk), and played with Miss Payten. Since I spend everyday with Payten I forget how funny she is, especially with all her expressions. Mom and Aunt Jane got a huge kick out of her. My wonderful creative Aunt came up a great idea for the curtains in Camryn's room. I absolutely love them. See the picture below! And best of all we got a great deal on the ribbon, $1, gotta love bargains!

Today I headed to lunch at California Pizza Kitchen with a few of my girlfriends from Orlando. It's been months since I have seen them so it was great catching up with them. Not to mention how yummy the food was. :-) Pineapple thin crust pizza, yum!!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I am off to relax for the weekend watch my Giants kick some Cowboy butt :-) I love football Sundays!

New Date!!!

Dr. Kareem called this afternoon asking if we can re-schedule Camryn's arrival date. At first she asked to bump it to the 19th, and of course I said no way! I don't want to go backwards, I want go forwards. The ideal date was the 12th but Winnie is already booked so as of right now the new date is Wednesday, October 14th. So looks like Camryn will be sharing her birthday with her Uncle Ryan :-) We will know more as the time gets closer but that is the tentative date for now unless Camryn decides to surprise us and come sooner, which her Mommy would totally love her for that :-)

Happy Tuesday!

35 Weeks

Another week has gone by... and we are that much closer to meeting Camryn. :-) I am actually going into my 36th week but I am little behind of course. I have my weekly OB appointment tomorrow so hopefully I will have some news that my c-section date has been moved up. Keep your fingers crossed. Although the closer it gets the more scared I am getting. It is going to be so hard for me to leave Payten overnight for a few nights and knowing I can't pick her up for a while is going to break my heart. :-( I am hoping I heal fast so things can go back to normal.

Here is what says this week...

All About Baby

At 35 weeks, your baby is considered full-term and she looks developed. The soft, fuzzy hairs that once covered her body begin to disappear. She continues to add fat layers, which will help her stay warm once she's out of the womb. During these last weeks, your baby is developed sleeping patterns (and they often have little to do with night and day!)

How Big Is Baby?

Your unborn baby weighs in at about five pounds, 10 ounces and stretches to around 12 inches (crown to rump).

September 13, 2009

1st Football Sunday of 2009!

It's the first football Sunday of the season, and Sean already has Payten ready for what every Sunday will be like. :-) Don't worry I will be sure she has some Giants gear soon!

GO GIANTS!!! Or as Payten & Sean would say GO PACKERS!

September 12, 2009

Another Saturday...

Only a few Saturday's left until Camryn arrives. So it's crunch time to start getting things together around the house. Sean headed up into the VERY HOT attic to dig out the infant car seat along with the swing. I finally got them all washed and smelling good for Camryn. We are actually making progress. Now if we can only decide on decor for her walls then we'd be set. Maybe we can get do that this weekend?

While we were unpacking the baby items, Payten thought it would be fun to give her "old" swing a try. I think she liked it more now then she did when she was a baby!

Sean's off to work tonight so it's a girl night, just Payten & I. I am looking forward to just hanging out and spending time with my princess. Happy Saturday!

September 11, 2009

Disney on Ice!

We started off our weekend early on Friday evening with some yummy pizza at NYPD Pizza with the Ellison Clan. And then off to Disney on Ice at Amway Arena we went. We all had a blast! Surprisingly enough even Case & Payten enjoyed it. So glad we decided to get the tickets. It's a definite must for next year!

September 10, 2009

Little Miss Camryn

Well I'm not sure if I should call her "Little" Miss Camryn since she is already measuring 5lbs 8oz. It's safe to say that if she remains comfy for another 4 weeks she will be almost 8 lbs if not bigger! I am guessing I won't need as many premmie clothes as I needed with Payten :-) Here is a picture from today's ultrasound. It's not the best since she is running out of room in there. We can't wait to meet her in a few weeks!!

September 9, 2009

To shop or not to shop??

Why does Gymboree keep running all these great sales? They are killing me! I am trying to have the will power to pass them up but when they have a sale, and an extra 20% off, and even earn Gymbucks, it makes it so difficult to pass it up. Not to mention how cute their stuff is! Ugh! Of course I am wanting to get a few outfits for Payten & Camryn to match so they draw me in even more. I mean how can I pass up this adorable dress for the girls for the winter...And how adorable is this sweater dress and boots for Payten. :-)

I think I might have to cave just this last time.... :-)

September 8, 2009

Favorite Team Day!

Yesterday was wear your favorite sports team to Chick-Fil-A and get a free chicken sandwich. What a great idea to drum up business on a holiday weekend! It was packed but it was totally worth it for the free sandwich! Look at little Miss Badgerette! Thank you Uncle Dan & Aunt Gaby for my Badger apparel :-)

September 7, 2009

Etsy got me again!!

I ordered personalized wall letters for Camryn's room. The seller custom paints them to match your bedding and/or theme. I can't wait to see how they turn out. She is starting them this week. To give you an idea, this is what they will be like, minus the pattern. The seller is candicenkatiesart.

September 6, 2009

Our Little Pink Fairy

Since we are unaware when Camryn will be making her appearance, we figured we better get Payten's Halloween pictures taken care of. We went to Picture People this afternoon since they were having such a great sale. Hope you enjoy!

September 5, 2009

Where is our fall weather??

Everyone keeps talking about this wonderful fall weather but of course we are not experiencing one bit of it in Florida. It's still in the high 90's! I hoping within the next few weeks it starts to cool down because quite frankly I am over the heat for this year!

So far our weekend has been great! Friday we did a little shopping for fall clothes for Payten & Camryn. We enjoyed strolling around the mall, eating some yummy Auntie Ann's pretzels. It's so nice to have some time off from work, and not have actual plans.

Sean installed the closet organizer in Camryn's closet today. It's awesome! So much more space, I love it! He is going to install a few shelves above for some more storage. I will post pictures when its complete.

Hope everyone's weekend is going well so far.... Happy Labor Day weekend! :-)

September 4, 2009

Another week down....

34 weeks
Can you believe it? Now I just hope the last few weeks go just as fast! My swelling has improved a bit but my left ankle is still nonexistent :-(

According to

All About Baby

Your unborn baby's muscles are maturing along with the rest of his body. He can hold his head up and turn it from side to side. He'll practice his newfound muscle tone by stretching out his arms and kicking his legs.

If you are indeed having a boy, the testes have descended into their proper place. Your baby's eyes are now open when awake, and closed when sleeping. Most of the lanugo is gone and replaced with a thick coat of vernix.

How Big Is Baby?

This week your baby is about 12.8 inches (crown to rump) and weighs nearly five pounds.

Playdate fun!!

Kim & Ally came over today for a play date. Ally & Payten had a blast playing with all the toys and interacting with each other. I wish it was easier to get them to stay for a picture but of course its like impossible. Thank you Kim & Ally for coming over. We hope to get together soon!
