Wordless Wednesday - 8/10

Payten's New Room Idea

When we move into our new house Payten will be getting a new room color scheme. Since she is almost 4, we are ready for a change. Although it'll be hard to beat her room now. It's amazing! My husband did an awesome job on her checkerboard wall.

Her new color scheme will be pink and yellow. My husband wants to do an accent wall in her new room. Below is what he was thinking he'll do. Along with some white chair rail. The rest of the walls will be pink.

We went with a Pottery Barn Kids set for her bedding. The picture below is the crib bedding set but we bought it for a full size bed. It's so pretty in person. We can't wait to see the finished product!

School Uniforms

Does she really have to wear them? At Payten's new school when you enter the "3" year preschool class you are required to wear uniforms. Most parents would be thrilled about this and don't get me wrong part of me is happy that we don't have to spend 20 minutes every morning picking out something to wear but Payten loves to get all dressed up. She picks out a dress at least 5 days out of the week, so it will be interesting around here when her options are skirt or pants. Ehhh...

Their school uniform are red polo shirts with school logo, and either navy blue skirt, pants or shorts. Needless to say it will get pretty boring. So I have started ordering lots of different hair accessories to dress it up a bit. My friend Tammy will be making her some adorable Funky flowers and I am looking into ordering these polka dot bows in her school colors.

Since Payten is petite, finding her navy blue bottoms is almost impossible. I did find this awesome school uniform site, French Toast. And the best part is its very affordable! We also ordered a few pairs of pants from Old Navy since I know that they will definitely fit Payten.

One of the hardest parts will be to get her to wear sneakers and socks. Both of my girls are just not a fan. They are true Florida girls, flip flops and sandals. I ordered Payten these cute Keds sneakers/mary janes. They are plain but I am thinking they will be comfortable and of course still cute!

Crazy Week!

It's been one of those weeks. One thing after another! And to top it off I have been super busy making banners to meet deadlines before I close my shop for a few weeks for our "move".

Our week actually started pretty good. But by Wednesday it all fell down the tubes. I woke up with a toothache. I got in to see the oral surgeon yesterday and I have to have the tooth removed. I am hoping to get in next week to have the procedure done.

I noticed Wednesday morning that my youngest dog, Roxy was having trouble walking. She has a "fatty" tumor for a few years now that we get checked once a year and I have noticed it getting bigger but it never seems to bother her so I kind of forget about it. Well Wednesday it must have been bothering her, to the point where she wouldn't walk :-(. So we headed over to the vet in the evening and come to find out we need to have it removed. :-( Of course this is just awful timing with our move coming soon but I want her to feel better. We are looking into scheduling her surgery in the next two weeks. Just praying everything goes okay. She is my first baby and I love her soo much!

Still waiting on our official closing date. We were told no longer then the 15th, so we'll see. Although my hubby did hear from them this week and the paperwork is almost done so they are shooting for the 10th or 11th, but we'll see.

This weekend we are going to try and have some fun and forget about the move for now. We have plans to head to Blizzard Beach tomorrow. Can't wait!! Happy Friday!

Where did the weekend go?!

It was a busy busy weekend!!!

Friday evening, the hubby was out golfing with friends for his birthday. It was the last night of VBS (Vacation Bible School), so Camryn and I dropped off Payten. Camryn and I did a little shopping and then went to pick up Payten.

Before we were leaving for VBS the girls wanted to take a few pictures! I love these girls so so much!

Saturday we spent most of the day organizing and packing. Saturday evening the hubby and I went out to celebrate his birthday, just the two of us :-)

First we went to Chili's for the yummy 2 for $20 deal! I had my favorite Quesadilla Explosion Salad, yummy!

Then we headed over to the movie theater to see 'Friends with Benefits". Great movie! Just hysterical! This is the first movie I have saw with my hubby at the theater in like two years!

Yesterday was a busy day of organizing and packing. The garage is now sorted into two, 1st area being our "ready to be moved" side, and the other is the "moving sale" side. I am glad we are more organized now but of course there is still a lot more packing to do!

We decided to take a little break, and head out to a few stores. Our first stop was Badcock Furniture to check out this cute kitchen table. I loved it and the price was right so we ordered it.

After we left there we headed to Bed, Bath, and Beyond, Best Buy (the hubby's choice of course), and to Home Depot to pick up out paint samples. We have finally narrowed down the colors to the Master Bedroom, Payten's Room, Camryn's Room, the girls bathroom, and the office. We still have lots more to pick out but at least we have a starting point :-)

Hope everyone had a great weekend!!!! I am hoping this next one has a little beach time or water park time in it :-) I am missing my weekly dose of the sun :-) Happy Monday!

And it starts. . .

my obsession with party planning! I mean I even have dreams about it, I know I have issues. Since we have decided to have Camryn's party at the house this year we will be doing a pinata for the kids, a cute one too might I add (picture below), so instead of favor bags I am going to give out cookies for favors. I have been looking on Etsy for ideas and I absolutely love both of these! But man are they pricey! So I have contacted a few local cookie makers for some prices. But aren't these so adorable?!

I really need to stay off Etsy! That site is beyond dangerous!!!! Invitations have been ordered. Super cute and can't wait to see how they turned out!

Of course with a #2 though :-)
Adorable owl pinata!
