Father/Daughter Dance

This past Friday was the annual Father/Daughter Dance at Payten's school. She was super excited to spend the night with her Daddy.  They looked so good!  Payten was just too cute giving her Daddy lots of kisses and smiling ear to ear!

Back to reality!

This week was back to school for the girls!  And boy was it a big reality!  No more sleeping until 9a and staying up late.  It's been a crazy week needless to say but we survived. :-)  Now we are ready for our fun weekend at Disney!  

We transitioned from Christmas to Valentine's in our house last weekend.  I know some say its too early but I always go right from Christmas to Valentine's Day.  Just easier for me and its not like its that far away.  I am still working on some finishing some DIY projects but its turning out pretty cute!

Holiday Parties

I was so happy that I was able to attend both of the girls school Holiday parties this year.  I truly love this time of the year and watching the girls interact with their friends is adorable.

Payten's class party was a busy one.  There were 5 tables and each one had a different craft to make.  Super cute!  After they were finished that got to enjoy some yummy treats!

Camryn's party was a low key party.  Just hanging out enjoying some yummy treats while listening to holiday music.  Just what we needed before the crazy holiday rush!

Back to School Mini Session

Lately . . .

Well it's officially the fall here, well maybe not in terms of the weather but with our crazy schedule.  Things have been super busy around here. Unfortunately blogging has taken a back seat :-(.  I told myself that I am going to try and post two times a week. Once for Wordless Wednesday and then again on Friday for a weekly update but so far "FAIL", sigh!  My days start at 5:40a and I usually finally get up to bed around midnight.  Needless to say I am exhausted!! 

Last weekend was a busy one.  Football game, birthday party, back to school pictures, school work, catching up on Little Miss Petals orders.  I told myself that I would go to bed early on Sunday so I could catch up on some sleep.  Ha not so much.  

This week has been crazy!  Pretty much every week around here lately is crazy!  I am just so glad its Friday! And tonight we are off to see Disney on Ice :-)  The girls are super excited and I am not going to lie I am too!  I look forward to this every year just as much as they do!  Hoping to have a little downtown this weekend but we'll see.  Happy Friday!

2nd week of school

The second week of school is completed and it went pretty well.  Other then the crazy mornings and two different pick ups for the girls its been going great.  Payten is getting use to the drop off's, well kind of.  It's growing on her.  She is loving her "specials" each day.  She rotates between PE, computer class, art, and music.  So far not too much homework so that's good but I am sure its coming :-(.  Camryn is doing good too.  Not too bad reports home. No homework yet for her but I KNOW that's coming.  When Payten was in the PreK4 class there was quite a bit of homework.  So I am preparing myself, LOL.

First Day of School

Wow its been a crazy few days!  We enjoyed a few days away at the beach before the back to school madness.  But now I feel so behind :-(.  

The first day of school went great for both girls.  Payten was a bit nervous when I walked her in but when I picked her up she was all smiles and was so happy.  She said she loved it.  Phew what a relief!  I can't wait to hear all about her second day!  Camryn's first day went good except for getting sent to time out once, so typical of Camryn.  Ahhh that kid is going to give me a run for my money, that's  for sure!

Meet the Teacher

Last night was Payten's Meet the Teacher!  It really became surreal when we walked in the school doors, my first little princess is going to Kindergarten... :-(  Where did the time go?!  She is super excited about starting school on Monday.  She loved her teacher.  What a sweetheart she is.  The classroom is soo cute! Another mom told me that Ms. White is a huge picture taker, well you know how much I just LOVED that. Payten got her first classroom picture taken and then one with me and her.  Love love that!  Monday I am sure I will be a mess.  Stay tuned to how her 1st day of Kindergarten went!  Happy Friday!

Low key

Our week has been pretty low key.  Luckily our summer hasn't been too crazy.  I am definitely enjoying plan-less evenings.  Although starting next week that is about to end.  Booo!

Next week is Meet and Greet the coaches for Payten's cheer team.  She has been attending a few tumbling classes and attended cheer camp last week but next week starts the real deal.  Ekkk!  Practice will be two nights a week, then a Saturday game. So needless to say it'll be a little crazy.  Since we'll be spending many HOT nights at the field, Payten got a new personalized water bottle.  Isn't it adorable?!

The hubby has been doing some traveling for work so we had many girls nights.  The girls love when he goes out of town because that means they get to have a slumber party with mommy :-)

We received Payten's school supply list this week.  It's quite lengthy if you ask me but I guess its still cheaper then the weekly fee that I was paying for her other school, so I'll take the school list.  :-)  The girls and I made a Target trip to start to tackle this list.  We are about 75% done but hope to finish the rest this coming week.  Payten has been nervous about going to a new school but after doing a little shopping she seems really excited now.  I hope that vibe continues :-)

The girls are heading south this afternoon to enjoy the weekend at my parents.  We are hoping the weather stays clear of rain and thunderstorms so we can enjoy a few days at the beach!  Happy Friday!

Summer almost gone :-(

I still can't believe there is only a month left until the new school year starts! This summer is flying by!  I still can't believe Payten will be starting Kindergarten!  That is just pure craziness!  What happened to my itty bitty baby?!  Now she's a sassy little 5 1/2 year old, that always knows exactly what she wants!  Next week she will be attending Cheer camp.  It will be a good introduction for her to see what its all really about.  She did attend a few tumbling class but that is only a little part of what cheerleading is all about.

This year Payten doesn't have to wear uniforms but now Camryn will be wearing them.  I've been shopping around to find the best deals since they don't hold up well.  This year I am thinking of buying most from French Toast.  They are super reasonable and now they are offering FREE shipping on any purchase. Payten was my girl that would NEVER wear pants or shorts but luckily Camryn isn't as picky.  Thank goodness. So it makes things a little easier for me.  

Since Camryn didn't get a whole bunch of wear out of her backpack like Payten did, she will be using her same PBK backpack. Payten will be getting a new one with a matching lunchbox.  She picked the pattern :-)
