January Recap

January has been a busy month! But really what month isn't it?! 

We started out the New Year ringing it in with friends. We went to Disney for the day, went to a few birthday parties, dance class for both girls, Payten had surgery, she also started cheer for basketball.  It's been a laid back month for Camryn {lucky her} but that won't last long soccer starts next week.

The hubby and I started P90x the beginning of the new year.  We are about to complete week 4 and WOW is all I can say! What an awesome workout! We are really liking the whole experience and looking forward to our final results at the end of 90 days!

The weather has been all sorts of crazy here lately. One day its freezing and the next day its 80 degrees.... so weird! 

The countdown is officially on for our Disney cruise in May! We are so excited! It's our first Disney cruise. Everyone is always bragging on how great it is now we can see for ourselves.

Payten's Surgery

I know I said weekly updates but clearly I can't even get to those these days.  Maybe a monthly one?!  

Payten had surgery about two weeks ago.  She had an infected tooth that needed to be removed.  We saw several dentists for a few opinions, most of them wanted to do the removal {general anesthesia} in their office but I just didn't feel comfortable with that. We finally found a pediatric dentist that we loved and she would perform the surgery at Arnold Palmer hospital.  Ahh finally!  It took a few weeks to get her on the surgery schedule but it was worth the wait because what an amazing experience we had at Arnold Palmer. Every nurse or doctor that we dealt with was AMAZING and went above and beyond to make Payten happy.  They truly have an amazing gift to be so good with children like that.

Payten's actual surgery went really well.  It only lasted about an hour.  They even cleaned her teeth while they were in there.  One less appointment we'll have to make for 6 months :-).  She was a little out of it from the anesthesia but by the next day she was good as new!

I am so glad this is behind us because I was an absolute wreck over this whole thing.

Oh Monday!

Oh Monday how I despise you!  That means its time for another busy week :-(.  

We had a fun weekend and sad that it came to an end.  Friday night was a low key night at home, just what we needed after a busy week.  Saturday morning we were up early for our day at Magic Kingdom.  Thanks to our awesome friends for getting us in.  We started our day at the park at 9a and headed back to our cars at around 6p.  We were planning on staying for the fireworks but the kids were fading.  It's a long day for them.  The park wasn't packed at all so we did a ton of stuff!  My favorite part was meeting the interactive Mickey Mouse.  It was so cool to hear Mickey talk and interact with the kids.  Camryn was a little hesitant on it but Payten just ate it up.  We went on a ton of rides and saw the Princesses as well {the girls LOVE that}.

Flashback Friday!

Back to reality!

This week was back to school for the girls!  And boy was it a big reality!  No more sleeping until 9a and staying up late.  It's been a crazy week needless to say but we survived. :-)  Now we are ready for our fun weekend at Disney!  

We transitioned from Christmas to Valentine's in our house last weekend.  I know some say its too early but I always go right from Christmas to Valentine's Day.  Just easier for me and its not like its that far away.  I am still working on some finishing some DIY projects but its turning out pretty cute!

Capital One Bowl

New Years Day the hubby and I got to see the Wisconsin Badgers play in the Capital One Bowl.  My husband was ecstatic since he is a Badgers fan.  Although it wasn't a victory we had a great time at the game! Totally worth sitting in the rain for {I think?.. haha}!

NYE!

We had a great New Years Eve with our friends!  It was a nice low key night just hanging out.  The guys played corn hole most of the night while the girls chit chatted inside.  The kids had a blast playing outside and inside {trust me the playroom is evidence of it}.  Such a great night ringing in the new year! Now here's hoping 2014 is a going to be a great one!
