Please excuse. . .

my lack of posting over the past few weeks. And I am sure it will continue over the next month or so as we are going through this whole moving process. Don't worry we are still going to be the Florida Hogan's but we are relocating to another part of the state, and not even too far just about 45 minutes or so. Just close enough to that my husbands work commute doesn't take over an hour to get to each way :-)

Lots of things going on here... lots of emotions flying all over the place. One minute I am super excited about moving and the next I am sobbing uncontrollably. Go figure! I am an emotional basket case!

The boxes everywhere are overwhelming me. As my hubby is packing, I stand there staring, like is this really happening? Growing up my family stayed in our house our entire childhood so I do not know what its like to just pick up and move. I think that is why I am having such a hard time. I know in the end this is the best choice for our family but as we are going through it I can't help to just sit and think of all the firsts we have had in this house as a family, and that in itself is so hard for me. So I am hoping with the coming weeks all my sadness will fade and it will be filled with all happiness, but we'll see.

Our new house is beautiful! Love, love, love it! Of course it needs to have some touches added to it to feel like our home and not just a home. Our plan is do all the painting, well at least most, before we move in that way we can have a easy move. But we'll see how it goes. Everything always sounds great when you say it but when you actually get to it, its a whole other thing :-)

Friday

I typed this whole long post about my feelings and realized that it was a big hodge podge of not making sense. It's been one of those weeks that really gets you thinking. The things that matter the most and the things that just don't. Remember to hug your loved ones and tell them how much you love them. Life is too way short to sweat the small stuff!

I have lots to write about our moving situation but right now that's one of those things that just isn't important right now... Will post more about that in a few days.

Happy 6th Birthday Colt!

It's been one of those weeks, so I am little behind. . .

On Saturday Colt turned 6. I can't believe he is 6!!! It seems like yesterday we were celebrating his third birthday! Crazy how fast time flies! We had a great evening celebrating with him. Payten just loves goofy Colt, especially because she is just like him :-) Happy 6th Birthday Colt! We love you!

Little Goof Ball

She is totally her dad, a complete goof ball but I just love it! This was before school one day last week. She is obsessed with getting her picture taken lately, but I'll take because I could look at this little face all day!

I have been MIA. . .

due to the wonderful world of sickies! And this time its not the girls its ME! And totally stinks! Wednesday evening I started to feel ehhh, and decided to self medicate with some over the counter allergy meds. Well by the middle of the night my throat was throbbing. I felt awful. First thing Thursday morning I called the doctor and got an appointment for 8:30a. I was out by 9:15 and off to the pharmacy I went with my FIVE prescriptions, yes FIVE! Two antibiotics, allergy meds, and some others. I thought since there were so many they would work instantly and boy was I wrong... its now days later and I still don't feel 100%, urgh. I hope it all goes away soon and I back to my old self.

In the meantime, lots has happened and will post more later about some new exciting things going on with the Florida Hogans! Happy Monday!
