Lately

I feel like I have so much to catch up on.  I still have one more day to blog about from our vacation.  Tomorrow it will be posted, I hope :-).  Last weekend we had a fun beach day.  We headed to Cocoa Beach for the day with some of our friends.  The girls had a blast playing with their friends.  The weather was gorgeous!  Perfect breeze too so it wasn't too too hot!

Sunday morning I headed out to Tennessee to see my sister and meet my new little niece.  My flight was early so I arrived in Tennessee by 10a.  Not too bad since I had a connecting flight.  I had so much fun hanging out with my sister and niece.  It was so great to be able to spend quality time with them.  But leaving sure was hard.  :-(

While I was gone, the girls had a fun time with their daddy.  They even went to Disney!  Lucky girls!  They had an absolute blast.  As you can see from the pictures.  Now I am hoping I can get there again soon with them so I see all of those priceless smiles in person :-)

ENT & other stuff!

Yesterday was Camryn's appointment with the ENT.  Luckily we only had to wait like two weeks for this appointment, which isn't bad at all.  I thought for sure we'd have to wait at least a month.  Things went pretty well, at least for now.  He is not recommending that we have the sleepy study just yet.  First we are going to try some nasal sprays first to see if they work, and we'll follow up in 6 weeks.  If not then Camryn will need an X-ray or a scope done to determine whether or not she needs her anodes out.  I am praying the nasal sprays work.  The last night I want to see is my baby have surgery :-(.

She loved sitting in the BIG chair at the doctors!  She thought she was all that! :-)

It was a CRAZY Monday, like always!  Payten had dance class last night, so its one big RUSH after work.  But its totally worth it because she absolutely loves dance!  She keeps asking me to take another class a week but unfortunately they don't have any for her age group.  Maybe next year!

Life lately

I feel like I haven't blogged much about whats actually going on in our lives lately. My posts have been pretty short and to the point. I am totally lacking blogging time but I think its time for an update.

First lets start with our weekend, I know its Thursday and I am now blogging about it, LOL. Friday night was a quiet evening, the hubby went to play poker with the guys and I hung out with the girls. When they went to bed I got to work on a few projects I had started. Sometimes its nice to have a evening like that!

Saturday we took Payten to dance, left a little early so we could head to the beach to meet my parents and aunt. After a beautiful beach day we headed to this yummy Seafood restaurant to celebrate my parents birthday, aunts birthday and my parents 30th wedding anniversary. They had all you could eat crab legs, my fav! Well my dad, mom, aunts boyfriend, and I all ordered them so our entire table was filled with crab legs.... after they were all on the table the girls FLIPPED out. I mean Payten jumped into my aunts lap screaming that they were going to get her. I was trying so hard not to laugh and console her but it was hysterical. Of course Camryn saw the way Payten was acting so then she became hysterical as well. This will be something they won't live down, EVER! :-)

Sunday morning we had breakfast with my parents and then headed home to get a head start on the house chores. It was a quiet day at home. The girls got to play outside with the hubby, while I caught up on laundry and other chores :-)

It was a great weekend! I love when we get to spend time with our family! Although it wasn't the same without my sister :-(

So whats been going on around here. . .

Payten is loving school! She is learning a ton lately! Everyday she comes home with something new she learned and I love hearing all about it. She has homework, yes I said homework 3 nights a week, sometimes even 4. But its fun homework. She asks me everyday to do it, so that's a good thing. Wait til shes older and not wanting to do her homework! So I guess I will enjoy this now :-)

She learned her dance routine for her recital in June. Its super cute! I can't wait to see the costume when it comes in next month. They are going to look ADORABLE! We are actually looking into a new dance school next year due to scheduling. Saturday mornings just aren't working anymore. Its too hard. I am going to be visiting a few schools in town to see what they have to offer.

Camryn.... ahhh Camryn! She is definitely in the TERRIBLE two stage! About every other day she gets a bad report home from school saying she isn't listening. The best one was that she tried to pull the fire alarm on Friday!!!! What is she thinking?! I can tell she is going to be our hand full, that's for sure!

Cam has recently transitioned to a toddler bed. I am not sure if this is a good or bad thing. Some nights are better then others but I am hoping soon she will get the hang of it and just stay in ALL night! Next on the list is potty training! Oh joy! Waiting for school to give us the go ahead but I am thinking VERY soon!

Camryn will be joining dance next year. I am trying to decide what type of class she will attend. But I am leaning towards the tap/ballet combo. She wanted to dance so bad this year but because of her birthday she missed the cut off :-( Next fall will be super busy for us!

It's nice to actually blog about whats going on... maybe I need to do this once a month! I'll have to add this to my monthly to do list!

Mini Getaway!

What a perfect weekend for a mini getaway with the hubby and the girls! The weather is supposed to be gorgeous, temps in the high 80's and sunny! Perfect!!! I can't wait to spend the weekend with them having lots of fun!

A few months ago, well more like 8 months ago, my hubby won a few free night stays at a few hotels in town. We have been talking about taking the girls and making a fun weekend but of course its taken us 8 months to actually plan one! So today after work/school we will be checking into the Embassy Suite Hotel! I am looking forward to hanging out by the pool, heading to SeaWorld, and just spending some quality time with my family! It's much needed after the past few months!

Thanks to SeaWorld and there awesome promotion, the girls get in FREE all year! We are super excited! Stay tuned to pictures! Have a great weekend!!

What a week!

I can't believe its been a week since I blogged, well I kind of can after the week I had. INSANE! Monday started out great since I still was super excited about the Giants winning the Super Bowl. I worked a normal work day, headed to the gym after work, ran a few errands, picked up the girls from school, made dinner, and went to bed early since I had a late night the night before.

Tuesday I woke up feeling "off". I can't explain how I was feeling but I know it just wasn't right. And then about 9a rolled around and that is when the stomach bug hit. I puked, and puked... total of 12 hours! I couldn't keep ANYTHING down. It was down right AWFUL! I spent the entire day in bed well except for the time I spent sitting by the toilet bowl, ugh! It proceeded into Wednesday. I stopped puking but I still felt awful and I was soooo hungry. I was scared out of mind to eat a thing. The thought of puking again kept flashing through my mind.. :-( Finally by Thursday morning I was feeling almost my normal self. But from being out of commission for two days I had a lot of catching up to do :-(

This weekend we laid low. Saturday morning I took Payten to dance class, we all had lunch, squeezed in a quick nap, headed to the park, and then ran to a few stores.

Yesterday we hung home and caught up some house chores. We have a busy two weeks so I wanted to get things done around the house.

Not how much I will blog in the next few weeks as ours are very busy but I will certainly try :-) Happy Monday!

Blogging rut

I am in another one of those blogging ruts. There never seems like enough time to fit everything in so unfortunately my blog has taken a back seat. This is a super busy month so I am sure any posting I do will be short and sweet, but filled with lots of pictures!

Speaking of pictures, I still haven't posted the girls Christmas photo session from last week. They came out adorable. Of course Camryn doesn't have many smiles but that's Camryn for ya. I will blog about our weekend later. Til then here are the pictures :-)

I'm back!

Well my little vacation turned into a really long blogging break :-(. After my little mini vacation I had a crazy work week so unfortunately my blog took a back seat for the week. I have lots to post about but will probably take me all week to post. In the meantime. . hope everyone is enjoying there weekend!

It's almost Friday!

I love these short weeks! I mean its almost Friday already. Woo hoo! Although I have been a little off these few days, which is why my Wordless Wednesday post was a little late. Oops :-( I feel like I haven't wrote much lately except about our weekend fun.

I will apologize in advance but with the summer coming up I have a feeling I won't be blogging as much. We have lots of events going on and with my new business my evenings are pretty busy as well.

The school year is coming to end for Payten next week. Her last day is Thursday. Kind of bittersweet. She is going to miss her teachers tremendously. She loves them to death! But I am hoping it won't be too rough on her. Her one teacher has talked about meeting up at ChickFilA during the summer so she can see Payten. Can you tell Payten is a teachers pet? Haha. Not only is school ending but so is dance class as well. Payten's recital is next Saturday. She is extremely excited! It should be interesting to say the least. I'll be sure to upload a video!

Still no updates on the new house. Just sitting here waiting. Our first and SECOND closing date has come and gone so now we wait for our third, June 30th. But I am pretty sure it won't be then either :-( I just keep praying we hear something soon! Short Sales are everything except SHORT!

We were supposed to visit our family and friends in NJ this month but has been postponed it due to the house, but I am thinking if we don't hear something soon we'll plan for a July trip.

No big summer plans... just moving whenever that may be. We plan on spending lots of time at the beach and water parks, since the girls just love it! Any summer plans for you?

One Week?!?!

Can that really be?! I only have SEVEN more days til Camryn's 1st birthday bash, really?! I just can't believe it. I am usually so prepared but this year for some reason I am so behind! It must be because there are two kiddies instead of just one... who knows?!? Or could it be my procrastinating.... This was a bad week for all the new shows to start up. The tv has literally sucked me in!

The hubby is working late tonight so that means when the girls go to bed I'll be working away at birthday party projects. Oh yeah and did I tell you I decided to have a kids Halloween Costume party at the end of October, I have lost my mind, haven't I? I thought it would be fun for the kids to dress up and party but wasn't really thinking about the preparation... yikes! So any Halloween party ideas would be greatly appreciated :-) The ages range from 1 to 6 years old.

MIA

I will be MIA from blogging for a few days... I promise I will be back soon with lots of updates :-) In the meantime enjoy all the beautiful weather that is happening in both Florida & New Jersey!

Night #2 = Success!

Payten made it through another night in her Big Girl bed. She slept through the night and did it without her pacifier. Now that is 5 sleeps with no pacifier. YAY! I am hoping she kicked that habit for good! We're half way through the week.. thank goodness! Come on weekend!

A little late...

I figured I would update about our weekend.... and not just post pictures :-) I know its Tuesday but my poor blog took a backseat this weekend so we could get some stuff around the house. We managed to clean out the fridge, the washing machine, and even organized a few drawers and closets. :-) There is still lots more to do but its a start to our Spring cleaning!

Saturday night, Sean and I had date night! Woot woot! Thank you to our great friends Dana & Doug, they watched the girls for us so we could escape for a few hours and enjoy some ADULT time! We went to dinner at Outback and enjoyed a yummy steak. Then we headed over the new movie theater in Clermont (so nice), and saw The Valentine. I loved it and thought it was cute. Sean said it was "ok". What do men know anyway? Haha. It was nice to have evening to ourselves and we have agreed we must make it a monthly thing!

Sunday was a normal Sunday for us... Ran a few errands, cleaned, napped, and hung out :-) The weather was beautiful. So we enjoyed some time outside.

It was nice to spend the weekend home. Next weekend we have lots going on so it will be a busy one but fun of course! Happy Tuesday!

Slacking...

I have been slacking on the blogging. Things have been crazy this week so I haven't been able to keep up. I had a crazy work schedule this week on top of researching new cars for Sean... so any free time that I did have has been devoted to that this week. I promise I will be better this week and post lots and lots of pictures of the girls... For now I will leave you with a few from this past week :-) Camryn Brooke is 15 weeks this week, wow time is flying. This week we will experiment with cereal... Stay tuned for pictures!

One of those days...

Did you ever have one of those days where you wish you could go back to bed and start over? That is the kind of day this has been!

It all started at 4am when Camryn woke up. It's usually no big deal. We feed her, change her, and back to bed she goes. Well not this morning. It took over an hour to get her to go back to bed. Before I knew it, it was 5:15am. So I laid in bed, and sure enough then my alarm goes off at 5:55am, so I can start work for 6am. Ugh!

I could barely keep my eyes open since I had interrupted sleep (something I do horrible with), then I hear Payten crying... its only 7am!!! Is she crazy? I tried to lay her back down but she wasn't having that. Not but 20 minutes later Camryn wakes. Now both kids are up at 7:30a. Ahhh! This is supposed to be my time when I can have some peace to myself... I guess not this morning....

Camryn has been having issues with her formula and we are trying to get to the bottom of it. I hope we can soon because having a fussy baby is NOT fun!!!

I am hoping this week gets better or its going to be a long one.....

Monday... Back to the Grind!

Is it Monday already? Why do the weekends go so fast?? We really need to start having three day weekends and 4 day weeks. What do you think?? :-)

Friday night evening I worked until 8pm, and since I was having cabin fever I headed over to Target. I picked up a few things for Payten's birthday party and a few Valentine's gifts for the girls. When I got home Camryn was still awake so she hung out with Sean & I and watched 27 Dresses. What a cute movie! I loved it!

Saturday afternoon I went over to the nail salon and Payten joined me for a girls afternoon. She got her nails painted while we were there. I was totally shocked she let the lady do it but she did. It's soo cute! Dana & Doug joined us for dinner and game night. After a long game of monopoly we just gave up and turned on the Wii. :-) The Wii is so addicting. Especially the bowling! I beat my record score, woo hoo!

Yesterday was our typical around the house Sunday. Sean and I both ran a few errands. We split them up, and then we were worked on some things around the house. Sundays always go by so fast :-( Unfortunately the Packers had a horrible loss and Sean was a bit annoyed so that was my que to head to bed, not to mention I had to be up early for work this morning.

I had my bi-yearly review today at work. It went well. They would like me to go for a promotion but unfortunately that would require me to work in the office and right now that's not an option. The commute is a killer and I am just not ready for that right now in my life. Maybe in a few years... Well, Happy Monday All! :-)

Another lazy Sunday....

But not really lazy... It's another typical Sunday around the Hogan house. Cleaning and organizing. No matter how much we clean we never seem to be done. I guess that is what we get for buying such a big house. It also doesn't help that it's like Toys R Us at our house so we are constantly picking up toys :-(

This is my last day before heading back to work tomorrow, well going back to work I should say since I work from home. It is so bittersweet. Although I have absolutely loved being off with my girls, it might be nice to get back to a normal schedule. I will let you know how I feel about this when I return. Haha.

We didn't do anything too excited for New Years since I was still healing from my mouth surgery. Dana, Doug, and my sister joined us for some Olive Garden take out and Game Night! We had a great time, lots of good laughs! We definitely have to do it again soon. Shortly after the ball dropped and hit midnight we lost power in our entire neighborhood... It was quite weird. It took about 2 hours to come back on. What a way to ring in the year!

Happy New Year!

Can you believe it's 2010? I can remember like it was yesterday when we were ringing in 2000, and that was a decade ago... CRAZY!

Although 2009 wasn't the greatest for all, ours did have one really good thing.... October 7th Camryn Brooke joined our family and what a blessing she is! She completed our family of four and Payten just loves her little sissy to death. We couldn't imagine our lives without her!

Here's to hoping 2010 has great new beginnings for our family & friends! Happy New Year Everyone!

Lots going on!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas! We sure did! Santa spoiled both Payten and Camryn. And we enjoyed the holidays with great family & friends. Now its back to the grind....

Tomorrow I am having mouth surgery. I have been in pain for weeks and they finally figured it's from one of my wisdom teeth so I will be going in tomorrow to have it extracted along with two others that now have an infection.. I know ouch. :-( Since I will be pretty occuipied on pain meds, I will post a few new pictures of Camryn. I can't believe she is 12 weeks already! So crazy! She is smiling up a storm these days and sleeping much better, thank goodness. Happy 12 weeks Cami!
