First Cheer Game & Weekend

So things have been crazy around here which is why I haven't posted lately. With school being back in session, the girls after school activities, homework, my side business, oh yea working full time, and taking care of things around the house I just haven't found the time to squeeze in blogging.  :-(  I am thinking about maybe doing a weekly post until things ease up a bit around here.  So we'll see!

This past weekend Payten had her first football game to cheer for.  It was insanely HOT!  I swear we lost several pounds from how much we were sweating.  I thought there was cooler weather during football season, oh that's right we live in Florida.  Haha.  Payten had a blast cheering, well except for the heat part. This wasn't an actual "season" but more of a kick off practice to the real season.  This weekend is our first "real" game and its a home one too, woo hoo.  I am just hoping its a little cooler out, doubt it but a girl can hope right?!
The rest of the weaken we laid low.  Worked on a few house projects.  Well mainly the playroom project.Which is coming around slowly but surely.  Hoping to have it finished sometime next week!  Ha funny, I know!  But for now this is what it looks like. . .

TGIF!

What a week!  It's been rainy and dreary here so the week has felt never ending!  I am so happy the weekend is finally almost here!

The hubby has been working like crazy so its just been the girls and I.  We've been spending a lot of time just hanging out and clowning around.  It's been nice to play games, watch their favorite shows, play makeup and hair salon {lol}.  Camryn is my crazy one!  She is always doing something corky but I love it!

After the girls have went to bed, I've been able to finish up a few of my small house projects.  My collage wall is finally coming along.  Only a little more until its finished!  Woo hoo!
It's going to be a busy weekend for us.  Tonight we'll lay low, since tomorrow and Sunday will busy.  Tomorrow my parents are coming into along with our friends Dana & Addison.  So it'll be a full house over here.  Saturday night, the hubby and I will be attending a Kentucky Derby themed event Saturday night.  Looking forward to it since we didn't get to make it last year and its always a lot of fun!

Sunday we are planning to either lay poolside or head over to Aquatica.  We'll see how the morning goes and decide then.  I am looking forward to see family and friends this weekend!  Happy Friday!

House stuff!

For some reason I am having issues uploading my pictures from my camera to my blog so for now just house updates. :-)

My hubby installed the new back splash in the kitchen this weekend... and it looks AMAZING!  I am so mad we waited this long to do it.  It really turned out awesome.  Once my kitchen is all cleaned up I will take a picture of the final product!

Foyer

Before {ignore the Christmas decor}

After

I FINALLY, after 2 years LOVE LOVE my foyer set up!  And the best part its extremely functional for our everyday crazy life! :-)

Messy

It's been quite messy around here lately. We have been installing hard floors in the hallway upstairs, master bedroom and the staircase.  I had no idea what a mess this would create.  Slowly but surely things are coming together!  Just a few pictures of the "during".  I'll be sure to post after pictures when its all complete!

Good ole pinterest

I've been on a mission over the last few weeks to complete a few "to do's" on my pinterest list!  Obviously since Valentine's day is coming up they got priority on the list :-)  I am obsessed with my yarn hearts!  They are my fave, but I am also loving my framed hearts {top picture}.  I have one more valentine project up my sleeve for this weekend!  I'll be sure to post on Monday!

Rest of the weekend

I had all intentions of posting yesterday but what a day I had!  It started out at the surgeons office to confirm whether or not I need to have surgery.  Unfortunately I do :-(  The recovery shouldn't be too bad, I am just more worried about the anesthesia, I hate that part, but everything will be okay.  After I got home, my husband went to the doctor because he wasn't feeling good all weekend, after an ultrasound at the hospital if confirmed he has a bad infection.  Thank goodness after some meds he will be okay.  He definitely had me worried!

I did get several little projects accomplished over the weekend which was nice.  These were things that have been on a "to do" list for 6+ months!  Ironed 5 curtain panels, hung a collage frame in my room, prints in Cam's room, finished the Valentine decorations, and even did some organizing!  I love weekends were I can actually get some things accomplished!

New Year = New Projects

It seems like once the New Year hits I get into house project mode.  All ideas are brewing through my head.  Pinterest definitely doesn't help.  I found this one photo gallery display that I LOVE!  Now I am determined to start this in my living room!  Isn't this awesome?! {this is from TatersandJello}

I've always wanted "barn yard" looking garage doors.  What a great idea and its less then $10 to do!

Love how this bathroom mirror is framed out.... love this idea for the guest bathroom just in white!
I've been eyeing this idea for the bookcase in my office.  Looks like I'll be at Joann's this weekend for Fabric!
