Torture

Have I mentioned that being on bed rest is like pure torture for me? I do not do well with getting orders to do NOTHING. Don't get me wrong I like some downtime but I've had enough! Although I still have many more days to go.... Ugh. 

I feel for my poor husband that is playing Mr. Mom. Of course he doesn't mind but I feel bad everything is getting put on him :-(

The weather has been beautiful here too so being stuck indoors is even worse. Speaking of.. The girls wanted to go in the backyard yesterday to play and right before they were going out, Sean noticed a raccoon in the backyard. I freaked!!!! Called animal control and of course they won't remove them, we had to have a private company come out here. $375... yes $375 later we now have traps set up all over our fence line and the girls can't go back there and play for about 10 days or so.... Urgh stupid rodents!

Since I've had a ton of down time I've been pinning away on Pinterest so I have a few projects I want to try when I am feeling better :-) A few easter ones I really can't wait to try!!

Home and resting

Yesterday was my surgery... Surgery went pretty well I just wish I did better with the anesthesia :-(.

My surgery was at 9a... Had a little late start but was in recovery by noon. Things were going okay in recovery until it was time for me to stand up. I made it a few steps before telling the nurse and Sean I was going to pass out.. Within seconds my face was whiter then a ghost and my knees started to buckle. They got me back in bed and hooked me back up and gave me more anti nausea medicine and some fluids to flush out the anesthesia. Then it was round two... Headed the bathroom made it to the restroom then Sean was helping me get my clothes on... I made it to getting one article,of clothing on before I passed out yet again... Ugh! Back to the room I go. Hooked up again and more fluids. My blood,pressure kept dropping every times I would get up. I have low blood pressure as it is so it doesn't help :-(. Of course because of all the fluid they were giving me I had to,use the bathroom. Got up again was fine to and from the bathroom until I got back to my room and down again I went... I just couldn't believe it was happening again. More fluids and monitoring, the nurse said if my blood pressure keeps dropping I will have to stay the night... Really? This is supposed to be outpatient procedure not overnight...FML!

Finally my blood pressure was going back to normal I still felt a little off but just wanted to go home so I touched it out. Finally arrived at 5p.. Ate my first meal for the day and I have been in bed ever since. I have a funny feeling I'll be here for several days :-(

Wordless Wednesday - 02.06

Lately

This week is my surgery.  It's scheduled for Thursday morning.  I will be glad when its over so I can stop anticipating it.  I am not a fan of anesthesia, AT ALL, so that is the part that I am most scared about.  From what I have heard the recovery isn't too bad and I just be good in a few days.  Of course no lifting but I'll be up and around.  I am going to take this time to just rest because lets be honest its not something I do often.

It's definitely birthday party season around here.  We have a birthday party to attend every weekend this month, including Payten's of course!  Which speaking of, is coming up super quick!  I am almost ready for it, with the exception of the final headcount for the goodie bags.  But pretty much everything is in place.  I am trying to think of cute centerpiece ideas.... I think I have something but I need to make sure it'll work!

The girls are doing great in school.  Payten is learning how to read.  Its awesome seeing how much shes learned at school.  She is quite the math pro at school.  Just like her momma :-).  Camryn is doing awesome as well.  I amazed at how much she knows at this age.  Starting her in school early has definitely paid off.  I think she has FINALLY gotten the whole pooping on the potty down.  We do have quite the routine but it seems to be working, and only having another accident every once in a while. 

I am sooo excited about going on a cruise for my 30th!  I had been going back and forth on what I wanted to do for the BIG 3-0... I really just want to relax with my family and hang out.  Theirs nothing I love more then sitting on a beach with a fruity cocktail and playing in the sand & water with the girls.  So that's what I'll be doing!  We will be sailing on Royal Caribbeans new ship, Allure of the Seas... so excited because I have heard AWESOME things about this ship.  I can't wait!

RIP Foxy Roxy

I feel like I just wrote a post about saying good bye to our puppy Corgy, and only 7 short months later we had to goodbye AGAIN to our other puppy Roxy.  I am heart broken beyond any words!  

Roxy has had a fatty tumor that has been growing for years.  We have it checked out every year sometimes every 6 months and the doctors never had good answers.  We thought about surgery but they always told us the tumor would grow back and faster, so we felt letting it be would be okay.  Up until now everything was okay.... over the past few weeks her health has been declining.  During this week, after hours and hours of discussing and crying, Sean and I decided that we needed to put her to sleep and to stop letting her suffer.  It just wasn't fair to her anymore to keep fighting like this, and we were being selfish by keeping her alive for the pure fact that we didn't want her to go because we'd miss her to much.  I am truly going to miss her with all my heart,  I know she was only a dog, but she was my first baby and I will be forever grateful for all our wonderful memories we had.  She'll always be my foxy Roxy and my Roxberry!

Love you Roxy.... We love you forever!

February 1st

TGIF!  This week more then ever!  Its been a crazy busy week.  Between working, running the girls around to dance, having a million tests done at the hospital, I am just spent!  As much as I am not looking forward to my surgery next week I think I may enjoy the downtime.  Maybe my body can actually get some rest for once!

I can't believe its February 1st today!  22 more days until Payten's birthday party, and 23 more days until my first princess turns FIVE!  I still can't believe it!  The girls are growing up way too fast!  Although I am not going to deny I am really loving them at this age.  They love to shop {my favorite}, paint their nails, dress all girly... they are total my little princesses in every way!  I am so glad God decided to give me two little girls because they really do fill my life in every way!

This month my husband and I will be celebrating our 7 year wedding anniversary... SEVEN years... so crazy!  It truly feels like yesterday when we were at the alter in front of all of our family & friends exchanging our vows... and 7 years later we've faced things that I really never thought would ever come our way but we've overcome it all.  Nothing stands in our way no matter how big or small it is.  We make a pretty awesome team together!!!

Looking forward to this crazy month... and all the good and bad {sniff sniff} that comes with it!  So bring it on February!
