Yup the rumors are true.... Payten is going to be a BIG sister! Her little brother and/or sister is expected to arrive October 28th. We are all very excited to add the last addition to the Florida Hogan bunch! Here are a few pictures of the little peanut from our ultrasound this week.

Yesterday evening, I got to take Payten on a stroll around the neighborhood for the first time in months. It was actually beautiful weather and it was still light out. I am loving this Daylight Savings thing! Miss Diva had to wear her sunglasses. She is too much! The other picture is from today, that is her new "cheese" smile. She is quite a character (Just like her Dad).
I never had any idea how many blogs are truly out there and for all different reasons and causes. I have came across so many that have truly touched my heart. When I think I have had a bad week, I start looking at some other blogs and realize that my bad week is nothing. I should be ashamed for even considering it a bad week. There are millions of people out there fighting for their lives, or have just lost a loved one. There is one blog that I came along about a gentleman, a husband, that is 31 years old, same age as Sean, and he lost his life to a battle of cancer. It gets you really thinking that your life isn't so bad after all and that the things we stress about are peanuts compared to what others are faced with. http://www.mckayfamilylife.blogspot.com/Another blog I have came along is about a little girl, almost the same age as Payten needed a heart transplant and received it but however the heart failed and she has passed away. I could never imagine losing my baby girl and can't imagine what those parents are going through. http://thegledhillfamily.blogspot.com/
Please keep these families in your prayers.
Well after having a great weekend celebrating Payten's 1st birthday with our family & friends, I knew it was too be good to be true for it to last on a good note.
Monday night I was hanging out watching The Bachelor (don't even get me started on that right now), and I was cuddling with Roxy (something I rarely get to do since Payten has been born). As I was petting her I noticed a huge lump/mass on her body where her one leg meets her body. I immediately started to freak out, sobbing like a huge baby. I ran upstairs to get Sean to have him check it out. He told me to calm down and that he'll take her to the vet in the morning. We all know how overweight Roxy is but this mass was so noticeable. Sean took her 1st thing Tuesday morning, well actually after he found out that his battery died on his car ($100 later). The vet did a needle biopsy and called us with the results today.... It's been a long 24 hours! Her bloodwork came back great, she doesn't have a thyroid problem, she's just fat... haha, and her lump/mass is just a fatty mass and the doctor is not concerned. However we need to get her on a diet. I am so glad that everything is okay with her. I was heart broken thinking there was something seriosuly wrong because Roxy is Payten's buddy. She would be devasted, as so would Sean, I, and even Corgy. We are hoping our week starts to get better... but I am not getting my hopes up just yet.
I hope everyone is having a great week. Is it Friday yet? :-) Happy Hump Day!
Roxy as pup... wow she was tiny!
Roxy now.... 41 lbs (yikes!)
Payten's new little cousin Christopher Joshua Blum arrived on Tuesday, February 24th! Payten is so honored to be able to share her birthday with her new little cousin. Congratulations Heather, Chris, & Ava on your beautiful baby boy/brother! We love you guys!
Today is the first day in the Hogan house that we don't have a birthday or anniversary to celebrate... :-) But don't worry there are lots of birthdays coming up in the next few days... heck we have a birthday just about everyday in the month of March. Hallmark loves me!! Haha.
Today we had Payten's 12 month check up with Dr. Yarckin, and our little peanut weighs 19 lbs 5 oz, and is 29 1/2 inches long. She is in the 25% percentile for weight, and 30% for height. Dr. Yarckin predicts she'll be 5 ft 4. She'll beat me by inches! :-)
On our way home from the doctor's we stopped by Kim & Ally's house for a quick visit (well 2 hours I guess isn't quick but thats okay). It was so great seeing them both. Since they are unable to attend the party this weekend, they gave Payten her present today. She got an adorable summer dress from Gymboree (my favorite store) and adorable matching sandals. Thank you so much girls! Payten can't wait to play with Ally again soon!
We are getting things ready for Payten's birthday party. Who knew all these preparations for a 1st birthday party? I guess I am part to blame for going over the top, buts so hard not to. Maybe one of these days I will learn, but I doubt it. For all that can't attend we sure will miss you but I will be sure to post lots of pictures. Here is one of the pictures from Payten's 12 month photo session with Lisa Lotter. Have a great weekend!!
Happy 1st Birthday Baby Girl! I still can not believe its been a year since you entered this world. You mean the world to us! It's amazing how everyday you brighten our day! You will will always be our little princess! Daddy & I love you more then you could ever know! Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
